Yeah this is a touch leaning towards conspiration, but I dig the imagination. I don't know if Eugene Melnyk knows what an NTC is, in fact this organization is quite well known for never giving them out. Pierre Dorion's never been a GM anywhere else, so he's lived an entire career without really having to acknowledge or deal with NTCs or NMCs. Perhaps it's ignorance of how to manage them. Beyond agreed, couldn't have said it any better. If he lied, he will also be fired with cause, meaning Eugene wouldn't have to pay PD and we all know how Eugene hates paying people that aren't in the org then Pierre McGuire would slide into the GM's chair, no brainer as they say.

The sad thing is he has to do research. Giroux WANTS to come here, but there's this whole toxicity thing. A lot of vets who have made their serious money lately want to come back, be close to family, and support their home squad. I hope Giroux does for Ottawa too.

Giroux would be a near-perfect addition... which means there's a 99.8% chance it won't happen, for whatever crazy-town reason happens to mess things up between now and July 1st.

Love the passion, great post! Like you said, we can all dream. The problem is that Stutzle, Pinto and Sanderson are all due raises off their ELC in the next 2 plus years or so, so tying up some of the dollars with big ticket older players wouldn't help the Sens long term. I would love Rakell in the top 6 of the Sens forwards. Again, great post.

Delusional. Nobody wants Ottawa to lose a top five pick. Several people have repeated this to you, but you refuse to listen. Get off your high horse with this holier than thou shifting narrative to suit my ego nonsense. You have been towing Dorion's line all season, and your consistency in blaming fans for negativity when there's clear rot on this team has you now shifting your tune again. People are simply saying that the small silver lining to losing a top pick is that Dorions incompetence will be removed. Everyone would rather keep the pick even if it means keeping Dorion. That has been clear across the board.

Normally I agree with your takes that the constant DJ/Dorion bashing here is beating a dead horse, but you're way off base on this one.
