I have a very sneaky suspicion that Matt Murray is going on LTIR for extensive concussion symptoms and may never play again. That's just me spit balling but something bigger is at play than "the player and management not getting along".
I mean. He has 2 cups. He's getting paid. He doesn't need to prove anything more to anyone, especially a bunch of bozo's in a city nobody cares about.

It was on CapFriendly and other public sites ALL season. So, if they knew and pretended they didn't are they, or were they trying to catch Ottawa in a situation where they could get league mandated compensation from the Sens for proper procedure not being followed?

The White thing is perplexing as he is possibly the most like player in the locker room! But it goes back to DJ dressing Anisimov and Paquette over White last year, then making White a healthy scratch for 6 games.

There's more to this, it's being kept very quiet right now but I see the NHL doing a press release on Friday afternoon, going into the weekend due to it being a black eye on the league!

If OTT had to forfeit their 2022 1st round pick over this I can see fans going apoplectic....

Dorion would be fired if it ever came to that, if Ottawa is guilty in any way on this matter, PD will be fired. Time will tell here.

Take away Zitsev, MDZ, Mete, Gambrell, White and Tierney. You've got Chabot coming back with possibly Sanderson ready to play.

So your D is Chabot, Sanderson, Zub, Holden, Hamonic, Brannstrom, Heatherington, with a touch of Thomson and JBD towards the end of the year. If Sanderson can jump right in it might work but you do need to add a top 4 RD, not a LD a RD.

They've got people to replace those forwards with but it's questionable whether or not they're NHL ready. Too bad White didn't work out. I hope he finds success somewhere else.

I had heard that they were told Dadonov didn't file his 10 teams in time. So they knew the NMC existed, but thought it wouldn't be valid for this year.

Not sure if there is any credence to that claim.

They gotta get rid of the dead weight, then start to fill in the roster. Like you said, I truly don't think Sokolov is ready from everyone I talk to in the org. His pace is a real issue, I was flat out told he needs another half year for sure next year in Belleville, possibly longer. Kastelic is the only one ready who could play with Kelly and Watson on the 4th line.

Top 6 forward is massive for this team so other teams cant match up easily against the top 6. RD is a must, the fact that Dorion said Hamonic wont stunt the growth of someone young already tells me he isn't top 4 material but then you got Capuano saying he can play with Chabot. Nothing like the coaching staff and management on the same page lol.....it's a reoccurring theme.

Vegas' little attempt at cap circumvention has seriously backfired on them and they need Bettman to help them out and if he can do that and keep a top five pick, and possibly a number 1 pick, out of Canada... I bet he's working with legal right now figuring out the spin.

Watching all of this unfold since Monday afternoon has been such a bad look for the NHL and Bettman. I agree, can you imagine if the league takes away the Sens top 5 draft pick if they finish in the bottom 5. Dorion has things going sideways.

Sabres fan ? 4u. Tierney, is he really so bad now Or just injury-prone? I always liked this player. Maybe not at 3.5 million though. I haven't seen him play as of late but then again maybe you haven't either since he's been on injured reserve. Would he be worth a one-year show me deal for the Sabres? I guess the way I look at it is I would consider him an upgrade over Cody Eakin on the fourth line or is that even too Farfetch'd now? Like a one-year 2 mil show me deal?

I think he could find a deal like you mentioned, on a non contending team's bottom 6. Maybe for even cheaper.
