If Risto is so offensively inept then how did he pull off 4 x 40? - Joe Nardone
A lot of secondary assists and playing virtually half the game.
And for the record, I didn't say he was offensively inept. I said he was mediocre offensively. Most of the ineptitude is on the defensive side

why do people care what happens if a player is moved and if said players isn't getting the job done on the flyers? - hello it's me 2050
Probably the most lucid thing I’ve read here in a while |

Somehow that makes you feel better?
Other flyers say Makar. Either way Hexy is the biggest reason why we are bytching about the flyers d right now and that draft pick set the franchise back. His stubbornness set it back.
Think about it:
Myers
Haag
Ghost
Prov
Sanheim
Morin
We are left w a decent, barely good Sanheim and a regressing Prov. That’s it. - Joe Nardone
You come across as an angry Richard. So this is my last response to you. Putting all that on Hextall is BS. First, Morin, was a reach by Holmgren not Hextall. Hagg was a Holmgren pick as well and was never thought of as more than a 3rd pairing defensemen. Ghost was a Holmgren pick and is quite a serviceable NHL defensemen.
Provy has proven how good he can be, his issue has been the last couple of years.... I blame Hextall on him because Hextall always preached patience but threw Provy out there to be a #1 defensemen without having a solid veteran to lean on and help him grow.
Myers was undrafted, showed potential but hasn't lived up to it.
Flyers will regret when they trade Sanheim. |

This team has always sucked at identifying, developing and nurturing dmen.
Even if they had drafted Miro or Makar, they would have (frank)ed them up like they've done to Provy and Ghost.
And Sanheim's doing pretty good this year. "Barely good" is a bit of a clueless statement. But he's probably about to be a cap casualty this summer because Fletch is dumb. - Tomahawk
I figured as soon as they signed him right up to his UFA years, they didn't plan on keeping him. Hopefully they've changed their minds, but if they have, it will be at the expense of Provorov, who I have no doubt will succeed elsewhere.

It’s an opinion. I would not refer to yours as clueless.
Is this a place to discuss hockey or get insulted?
I’ve played and attended probably over 1000 games. Don’t consider myself Keith Allen, but I think I know a thing or two about a thing or two, but go ahead and insult away if that’s your deal. - Joe Nardone
realistically it's both

Angry cause Hexy could neither draft nor groom dmen?
Then he gets a chance to draft a game changer on d and shuts the door on guidance from the same guys who actually go out and scout players in person.
Think I’m kind of a jolly guy, but not afraid to call out our current or past GM. Both of whom are pretty avg.
Tough place to disagree here..

Seth Jones, Jack Johnson, and Dion Phaneuf come to mind. All guys who shouldn't have been playing #1 mins scoring 40+ in multiple seasons on some pretty bad teams.

Translation. Ellis will never be the same. - MJL
That is one very negative point of view, but it has merit in that if the Flyers thought surgery would completely correct the problem, Ellis would have had it by now. |

His boss, Dave Scot, has given him a directive.
