I’m more concerned with LB after Edmunds leaves

Why compare a hockey player to another hockey player? More on this later.
- BeadyEyedDouche

Thompson is better than ROR right now, this season, and it’s a 70 game sample at this point.

Better raw numbers, better on ice impact on offense.

ROR was never winning the Sabres a cup (he didn’t win it himself for St. Louis either)

The trade, like some of us said at the time, would be fine

I told u before,
u can look up Girgs stats on your own to clearly see he doesn’t drive offensive production

Explain different, both Eichel and Tage, heading into final year of contract and the team wants them long term?

Skinner they were proactive so he wouldn’t test free agency.

Signing Tage this summer would be proactive similar to those situations.

- washedup20

Eichel was supposed to be your Franchise Center, don't think Tage is even in that breath yet. Proactive with Skinner would have been sign him to a extension as soon as the trade happened, not let him score 40 goals and be handcuffed

Individual stats do not indicate whether someone drives team goals for

Well I don't think you would be using a 4th or 5th rnd pick on Edmunds replacement.

O’Reilly PROVED you wrong
U said a winning team couldn’t be built around him…. And we all know how that turned out as soon as he left
Not RORs fault that GMTM royally Fd the defense & traded for a drunk goalie

St. Louis didn't build around ROR, he was a finishing piece not a starting piece

Tage is the organization’s number 1 center currently, welcome to leverage.

Extending skinner right away would have been more proactive than signing him before free agency, so I guess your saying they were more proactive than even I suggested.

Except he had St. Louis in last place in the NHL until they fired a coach and got Binnington.

And none of what you said had anything to do with what I said

Ok, take out the words “build around” then
The point is that he was a MAIN PIECE,
as evidenced by his playoff mvp award
