Adams now has to go back to Kim to request an offer increase to get Levi to sign this year.
- washedup20

Sign the max ELC and be done with it

I guess players only have a short window to enter the transfer portal, should Levi decide to turn pro his backup could always pull his name out of the portal and stay at Northeastern

Kim sent out a memo this year to management that the term max is banned from Sabres organization

What do we do with them all this year? What does UPL think about getting jumped over? I don't think this is a cut and dry situation. Adams has to navigate wierd goalie psyches. And all goalies are wierdos. I know; i was one.

Still makes you think he is staying at least one more year, unless the back-up is like I can't do what he did this year I am out!
- Stripes77

Said it when it happened. Some guys aren't gonna go out like that. Regardless of possible team success, that being the last goal he gave up in his collegiate career might be something he can't live with.

Don't think either of them signing is an indication that UPL has been usurped for his spot in the organization. He's played well in the NHL, just needs to be healthy and consistent. I doubt either would take his starting Buffalo crease this year, and at worst a timeshare (which will happen anyways with someone)

You don't think that and I don't think that, but UPL is batpoop crazy or he wouldnt have made it this far as a goalie.

His back-up, not him
- Stripes77

It wouldn’t surprise me,
he was only a freshman this season

Could still sign though
His backup might be transferring for another reason

UPL isn’t automatically getting jumped over
It’ll depend on how they play in camp
I think UPL will get a shot here though

Cozens and Quinn don't have the max bonuses in their deals. There's really no negotiating on Levi's. It's just standard.

Good god. Tried giving Schoop and the Bulldog a listen. They spend ten minutes breaking down a photo of NFL coaches?! WTF? They're just plain awful. Back on banned list.

WGR could be so much better. An out and terrible afternoon drive show.

They do talk about their personal lives a bit too much, but I still like listening to them. 4 hours a day, 250 days a year is a lot too fill. In saying that, I like the Howard Simon show (6am-10am) the best

Yeah see where this goes, think it might come down to Keeping 2 seats. Gotta see what plans they are gonna set up. There's people there that have had season 's since they started them. But that's a few years away.
- Buff36

We've waited for josh Allen our entire lives.

I'm not bailing now, maybe just attend 4 games instead of 3? I've always sold a few games.

Everyone is gonna want to see the stadium, seats are gonna be scarce

Quite possibly

Or

Someone else was responsible for constructing a team around hedman and stammer?

Stevie got undeserved credit and now is shown as a fraud

This feels eerily similar to you gloating about Girgs and Olo when Sam had his usual slow start.
That didn't age well.
I suspect this won't either.

Is the standard above or below $750k? I am not sure the president will approve paying a goalie above $750k.

It'll be a two-way deal, 925k in the NHL 70k in the minors. 92.5k signing bonus (max) and small performance bonuses. Just a little wiggle room in the bonuses.

Still think we should have cut Tyler Bass after week 4 as a rookie?
How about your guy baker mayfield? Man that was a jizzfest.
How about gibson being as good as vaslevsky?

That didn't age well.
I suspect this won't either.

We all miss, stop discouraging my posting.

The new thing would be not budging on contracts, exactly what I highlighted. Agent A says we have an offer from any team (that plays in a taxed state). Agent A also gets a percentage of the contract, and you know their headquarters are in Delaware or somewhere so they have an incentive to get the highest dollar regardless of tax status. Tampa and Fla now say, ok got sign that one then (to the player) or take less to be competitive. Stamkos is the perfect example. He took way less then was being offered (hasn't particularly helped as he's fallen off quite a bit, but an example no less). And yes of course being good helps. They got the trifecta going. Nice weather, no tax, and are good.

Stammer has like 29 G and well over 1.0 ppg.,
I wish our top players would have a down year like that!

The other scenario is that he signs an ATO with Roch, then an NHL deal after the season. That wouldn't burn his 1st year, so it's the team-friendly option.

Draft Jiricek or Nemec with are 1st, take Luneau with Fla. 1st and watch that young D fly in 2 to 3yrs.

Rochester is in trouble, they could use some Dman or they could fall right out of the playoff race.
