Waiting until 2:59 p.m. trade deadline day is just bad business to be fixing the salary cap. They acquired Jack eichel on November 15th and never planned ahead despite having 4 months to do so. I don't see how they did not know about no movement Clause when even the dumbest of fans could go on cap friendly and see modified no-trade Clause next to his name. I believe they just made that trade and hoped nobody would say anything . The old shoot first and ask for forgiveness later they got caught . I like the Gambler spirit but more often you lose more then you win and that is what is happening right now.

Hockey has a history in Vegas (The Thunder in the defunct IHL), this is nowhere near the gong show in Arizona.

They actually traded away a needed scorer Evgenii Dadonov to create some space. But the NHL nullified the deal because Dadonov's no-trade clause. This wasn't the Golden Knights' fault.
