Chuck gonna kill it this offseason.
Will Trade Sanhein for the rights to Tony D and 4th
Ivan for Scheifele
TK for yet to be determined dman
Severely overpays for JG leaving him no choice but to take the money
Then with Bobby Clarkes input he signs Bobby Ryan to a 1 year deal. - hello it's me 2050 Probably the biggest reason this operation is failing is because you have the two old buzzards (Homer and Clarke) hanging around and meddling in things.

G doing well. 9 points in 8 games I believe - Angus4444 Yeah, I was being a bit sarcastic about Giroux. I wasn't being sarcastic about Voracek though. This is exactly why I wanted him outta Philly. For an 8 mil a year player he sure can be totally invisible at times. I think I heard his name mentioned about 3 times last night. Think he might get fired up to play against a team he played with for 10 years, but naaaaa......

so we can trade Laughton? - bradster
assume kidding, Cates is an add, no need to subtract speed and skill. Of course depending upon return, everyone is available.

I really doubt this, if this was true Chuck would not have drafted NoPa.

looking forward to seeing how this version of the Flyers plays against the playoff teams, Caps and Rangers coming up. |

Amazing how quiet this place is after a nice win. A bunch of jaded Debs I say. This team will be 10 points better year next by just getting rid of Yandle!! It's funny with 10 games to go JVR had his hardest working game of the season last night. Another one bites the dust. - Phillywhiteout
Yea, if we lost the game, there would be a few pages of complaints by now...and that would be on Risto alone.

I am not worried about Washington, they don't seem as tough as they use to be.
But the rangers, they will smash the kids and then beat up the vets.

those games will show what they have and will be good for this group to grow from.

Nice win against another bottom feeder team. Very impressive.

How much stock do you put in these games? They are playing loose as no pressure. They likely know the head coach is a goner. Need to be careful when evaluating end of season "runs" in terms of wins and points.
Plus I still do not see Cates, brink, Allison, Tanner, Zamula, Attard and whatever other young player making the team next year. Maybe 2 of them as Chuck will still go the "trusty" vet route imo.

Exactly, show a pulse when the games matter at the beginning of next year. Obviously good to see guys play well but I’m not taking much out of this other than some new guys getting acclimated and show they can stay in the lineup. |

they did, so far this version is better than the version that started the season

The names of players who looked good for a brief end of season run. Then to see them disappear the following season is large.
To see them do well is better than looking bad, either way imo I reserve judgement.
Cates to me has that good hockey sense. That you cant teach. The other stuff you hope will come in time.
Attard as someone else said looks lost on D. He clearly has some skills. Needs work as dont see him in the NHL next season at all; at least in the first half. |

York over Yandle is a big upgrade. Healthy Hayes is better than any center they had playing two months ago. Tippett, Frost, Cates, etc are better than the clowns they pulled up from the Phantoms. Not overwhelming talent but far better.
