Price might be back soon. Habs could start winning more games. Latest is hes practicing with the team.
NJ is just 1 point behind, Seattle 5 and Habs/zona 6 points |

I have been a fan of this team from season 1,as much as I love the Flyers and all that Clarkie did for this team, nothing will change until Holmgren & Fletcher are shown the door. Take a minute to type in a search engine Chuck Fletcher's Minnesota Wild draft history, follow that by his FA history along with trades he made with some of his better picks, there are many drafts with number of games played by these choices as ZERO. His more successful picks ended up on other teams with CF being absolutely fleeced. It hasn't been this bad since Jay and Russ ran the team. The Wild are still trying to crawl out from underneath Cap hell. While I am hoping we get a really high pick ( screwing it up by finally winning a shoot-out) I really doubt this triumvirate will get this right. Here's a good example: Nick Leddy for Cam Barker. Barker was a complete bust. Maybe Leddy doesn't win you the cup but he's played over 860 games and is still playing. Maybe grab Yzerman's head of scouting, when the wings drafted Seider the collective hockey world considered the pick a major over-reach and he's only in the running for the Calder. Here's a small sample with the Bolts, Cirelli, Palat, Vasilesky, Kucherov, Point. |

From what i heard Homer is retired. Fletcher is GM and has Homers job. Fletcher might not be gm much longer either way. Sounds like Briere is being groomed to take over and Fletcher will stick to homers old job

Briere just needs to complete his clown school training. Last I heard he’ll need to provide his own oversized shoes and theres a hang up there. |

Why doesn't the coaching staff try to construct lines or pairs that may possibly play together next year? Is it not about the future?
Glad t see nate and brown still kicking it. Need to keep those other on the phantom's for that playoff push. - hello it's me 2050
Brown's under contract for another year. No idea why Nate is skating regular shifts for this team |

The whole Flyers organization seems to be at the same spot bottom feeders in the NHL and AHL. The Flyers like to put all of the blame on their coaches but the real organizational issues are far deeper.
This team is very hard to root for even for a long time fan like me since 1968. I’ve seen down years and stretches like 5 years missing the playoffs 90’s but this stretch from 2012 to now has been very bad too. The top young prospects never seem to develop even the highly touted one like NoPa, JVR, TK, Prov, even Hart seems up and down. This all can’t be the NHL coaches fault 6 different coaches come and go but the results don’t change much the top end has been a bubble play off team.
I still watch and follow this team because it’s a long time habit now I watch to see how far this team can sink. Kind of like when you look into the toilet before you flush it after a long sit down.
It’s sad what this once proud team has become. |

Does it matter if he is under contract another year? We have all seen what he brings to the table. They need to find an upgrade.

It shouldn't, just more or less saying we're stuck with him. I'd love to see Laczynski come up and play over both him and Nate, but they seem hellbent on giving the Phantoms every chance to make the playoffs even though that outcome has been locked up for weeks. |

Some here blame it all on Giroux.

I know you are. Yes phantoms playoffs is just a terrible disguise.
Allison and Tanner have to clear waivers next season if they do not make the team i believe. Allison it is just about health. Tanner should be playing in the NHL now to see what he may have to offer. See if he would be a an option for the 4th line. To not afford him that opportunity doesn't make sense to me. Unless they just do not believe he is an NHL player. Which is possible though still not good to not find out.

Holmgren's influence, especially over Dave Scott is still very much present.

Can you share any facts to back that statement? Would be interested in reading them.
Do you think Holmgren had any influence in Yandle being benched?

After every loss this same poster made a post pointing to Giroux as the crux of the issue. Maybe did not blame it all on Giroux but referenced him as the main problem on multiple occasions.
