What position does Brink play? Is it RW? Might be cool to see Frost Tippitt and Brink on a line. One would need to shift to LW though |

He's an underrated passer, actually. - bmeltzer
Sure he is, but I wouldn't consider him a playmaker. Especially when speaking in the context of playing with Frost and Brink.

I've read he is closer to 180 at this point. - MBFlyerfan
Hopefully that’s the case. The Flyers social media posted his stat sheet today and they still have him at 162 lol |

The pairing has been working. This is per HockeyWriters:
"We’ll start with the second pairing from this season and the likely second pairing again going into next season. This duo consists of Sanheim and Ristolainen as they spent the most time together by more than 150 minutes more than any other pairing on the Flyers this season. To be together through all of the tough stretches and lows of the season, these two have surprisingly decent stats. According to Natural Stat Trick, their expected goals for percentage (xGF%) is just 48.09 which is second on the team among pairings that have played more than 100 minutes together. But the more impressive stat is they have a 51.14 goals for percentage (GF%) which is the most among pairings with more than 100 minutes played.
Ristolainen has and will play his best hockey if he remains with Sanheim, but we have yet to see a pairing of Ristolainen and York for any significant amount of time. This is a future duo that would be intriguing. For next season the best course of action would be to keep Sanheim and Ristolainen together if healthy and mix York in if any injuries occur." - xShoot4WarAmpsx
This only furthers my point. We know the pair can be decent, we need to see what else works. Especially since Ellis cannot be relied upon. |

With pads and skates on, 185 lbs, and without 162 lbs

So your saying not to pair a play maker, Frost, with the leading scorer from the NCAA? What slow center do you put him with? - WhiskeyMan
Leading in goals? He is about 29th. There is only two other options right now. That fact that neither is perfect doesn’t excuse picking the 3rd worst fit.

This is the first time Ive ever heard JVR referred to as a playmaker. - MBFlyerfan
Last season JVR had 17 goals and 26 assists. I think he scored 7 goals with 22 assists at even strength. |

That is par for the course. Ive seen those stats never be updated, or updated once a year at best.

Sanheim has been carrying Ristolainen. Moving forward the best defense pairings for next year barring any moves and if Ellis can get heathy. Would be Provorov/Ellis and Sanheim/York. Ristolainen on the 3rd pair with someone else.

And therein lies the issue with the cap going forward. You are paying a 3rd pair dman way too much money, and in the near future, will probably lose your probable Barry Ashbee winner because you wont be able to pay him the 6 plus he will be due when his contract expires after next season. |

This is true. Good thing for him that the Flyers didn’t ruin him and he bounced back there. More to the point though, the Flyers prioritized MacEwen’s toughness with lack of scoring over a handful of Phantoms that would contribute more to scoring and special teams. I guess they thought we had all the scoring we needed. Just needed grit.

what have the flyers been employing on their 4th line? NAK was and is better than what the flyers kept. |

Oh they still have the Hodgson and Willman types, but when they score goals they get sent down. Can’t have that.

Brink is more a playmaker than a scorer. So if Frost and Brink are playmakers and JVR an underrated passer, does JVR turn Frost and Brink into scorers? Stay tuned.
