Why in the world would he keep Sanheim and Risto together instead of trying different pairings for a few games? This guy is such a moron it’s unbelievable. The season is lost, we need to see what’s going to work moving forward. This franchise just wreaks of incompetence.

Is the GM a bigger moron for not dictating at this point who should play where so he can see how it looks.....unless Yeo may be coming back.

Well the GMs shiny new toy Ellis should be a staple on the top pair for 82 games next year shouldn’t he? Or maybe, this would be the time to find out who else can fit on that top pair? Please give us your thoughts.

How about it doesn't matter right now, I am sure dmen will moved around. But again, doesn't it really matter? Wouldn't care if they put JVR on D, just so they can better their chances to get a good draft pick.

Yes, developing young players is important especially since that is the only good left on the table this season.

I saw a roster for the Frozen Four that had him at 166. Another poster here said he was something over 180. Who knows?

The pairing has been working. This is per HockeyWriters:

"We’ll start with the second pairing from this season and the likely second pairing again going into next season. This duo consists of Sanheim and Ristolainen as they spent the most time together by more than 150 minutes more than any other pairing on the Flyers this season. To be together through all of the tough stretches and lows of the season, these two have surprisingly decent stats. According to Natural Stat Trick, their expected goals for percentage (xGF%) is just 48.09 which is second on the team among pairings that have played more than 100 minutes together. But the more impressive stat is they have a 51.14 goals for percentage (GF%) which is the most among pairings with more than 100 minutes played.

Ristolainen has and will play his best hockey if he remains with Sanheim, but we have yet to see a pairing of Ristolainen and York for any significant amount of time. This is a future duo that would be intriguing. For next season the best course of action would be to keep Sanheim and Ristolainen together if healthy and mix York in if any injuries occur."
