The pairing has been working. This is per HockeyWriters:
"We’ll start with the second pairing from this season and the likely second pairing again going into next season. This duo consists of Sanheim and Ristolainen as they spent the most time together by more than 150 minutes more than any other pairing on the Flyers this season. To be together through all of the tough stretches and lows of the season, these two have surprisingly decent stats. According to Natural Stat Trick, their expected goals for percentage (xGF%) is just 48.09 which is second on the team among pairings that have played more than 100 minutes together. But the more impressive stat is they have a 51.14 goals for percentage (GF%) which is the most among pairings with more than 100 minutes played.
Ristolainen has and will play his best hockey if he remains with Sanheim, but we have yet to see a pairing of Ristolainen and York for any significant amount of time. This is a future duo that would be intriguing. For next season the best course of action would be to keep Sanheim and Ristolainen together if healthy and mix York in if any injuries occur." - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Best pair on the Flyers =/= "working"
Travis Sanheim is working. As a pair, they are a minor train wreck.
The Flyers top pair has been a major train wreck.
The 3rd-pair has been a train wreck supernova extraordinaire. |

If they said Yeo is staying, would you please not tell me today.
How does one become apathetic if it isn’t part of their personality? Asking for a friend… - NC Flyers Fan
One bright spot, Yeo was not mentioned.
Apathy is the result of year in and out numbing of senses and hope..
Passed from one Philly franchise to another franchise while draining your time and $ with occasional bursts of sunshine
Potential candidates discussed most:
Jim Montgomery ( Bill called him Monty, praised him said his personal issues are under control)
Paul Maurice- high praise, concern if he wants to jump back in
Bruce Boudreau if not retained -good reviews
Barry Trotz ( most enthusiastic comments, but not expected to be available)
I will start the dribble
Does the franchise want to take a chance that Montgomery will have a relapse of his disease...??

After Boudreau was hired by the Canucks, Friedman said he had heard the Canucks jumped on him because another team was interested. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's the next Flyers coach.
I don't have an opinion on the next coach because I just don't know enough, but I don't trust Chuck's judgement.

Coaching has been a major issue with this team the last two seasons. They can't afford to miss on the next pick. |

I’m afraid to say whom I think would be great. I feel jinxed. I will say that I hope it is a thoughtful vetting process with a full hiring team and multiple candidates being interviewed. While no one is perfect, it is very important to have multiple perspectives in the process and not simply based on one interview by Fletcher or league reputation. I think they need to look for a coach that is willing to play uptempo, puck-possession style where the defenseman can actively become the fourth forward on the play. Foster a blue-collar, work-every-shift mentality throughout a deep young lineup. Obviously, someone who works well with younger players, a young goalie, willing to help support and encourage team unity. Hopefully, someone who can think outside the box and use players to their strengths.
There should be many, many considerations. Just as important they need a modern day defenseman assistant coach, the smartest, most-amazing power play assistant coach of all-time, and a completely revamped player development system. No biggie really…

I saw a roster for the Frozen Four that had him at 166. Another poster here said he was something over 180. Who knows? - Minnyhock
It’s not uncommon for some writers to choose older data already provided instead of trying to search for more difficult to find, updated, and relevant numbers. 166 is where he was when he was scouted. He’s put on mass reportedly since then, but you think most writers are going to keep diggin? Nah. That would require effort. So 166 it is!
Especially in an age where there are a ton of cut-and-paste bloggers trying to make a name for themselves. They’ll choose what’s easy to crank out articles, because the next story they do is already knocking at a rapid pace. Much faster now that everything is launched on the web, and not newspapers or magazines.
They worry about web hits (and drama), not accuracy. |

The Flyers need to draft a BIG forward in this year's draft at all costs!! Man, they have the market on small forwards cornered. I sure hope Brink is slick enough to avoid getting crunched every night. |

Apparently not under Yeo. By the way, the Flyer’s have been out of realistic playoff contention since December. Do you really that they have utilized this time most efficiently for the future?

He gets a lot of passes this season because of how bad the team is but this hasn’t really been a good season for him either imo. |

I was just trying to think about the main cause of his regression. It feels like it's more than the team's play |

I mean a lot of it has to be just how poor the team is in front of him. I’m sure Yeo’s genius coaching isn’t doing him any favors either. |
