Only race left in the East is Washington/Pittsburgh for the 3rd spot in the division. Washington’s final game is against the Rangers, which could be a 1st round matchup, especially if the Caps win.

Bos/Car should be good and Tor will be entertaining because of the drama.
Truthfully, they were neither as good as their record under BB would indicate, nor as they as bad as what they were under Green. They are where everyone said they'd be before the season started, on the outside looking in at the playoffs. They need major surgery, not rehab, or nothing is going to change. I laugh at people who say they should resign our 29 years young superstar in Miller to 8+ for 5 years, and pray that they win the Cup in the next two years before he crashes and burns offensively. - DariusKnight
Its what analytic models said they would be according to their roster. I mean analytics is wrong when they don't suit a persons narrative but they are bang on when they do.
Agreed. Except that STL gonna win in 6 and the oilers will sweep the Kings. - Fidel
Yeah, Min/StL was basically a coin flip for me. Mike Smith is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. He could go Dwayne Roloson and they get to the final or he could go Tommy Salo and lose 4 straight.

It’s not just stats, the flip flopping to suite a narrative is endemic. I seen one guy quote Ray Ferraro. Ray freaking Ferraro.

I don't think there's any way the Caps win in 5, not with the Rangers goaltending.

Most have a certain plan in mind. I just enjoyed some good hockey. Last 10 or so games, I've felt like they have come together much more as a team and less as individuals.

This seemed to be how management operated for awhile.

Yeah, maybe. I’m not sold. Whatever stat says they’re one of the best defensive teams in the league is garbage. They’re mediocre at best.
