Oh yes, I remember having arguments with him over it, I said Shinkaruk was a prima donna goal suck like Bure was early in his career. I also said that unlike Bure, Shinkaruk didn't have the drive or work ethic to be more than a fringe NHL and 'lo and behold I was proven right in the end.

I got into a huge argument with him over Shinkaruk. He interviewed him right after the draft and went on about how he was so great and would be a star. I got a long ban for calling him Espledouche.

I think at the time I said that Virtanen was a men among boys in the WHL and that he'd likely top out as a tweener bottom 6 forward. I don't think I was on the Ehlers bandwagon... I think I wanted to trade down and pick a defenseman and get an extra 2nd round pick
