is there a Hedman-like dman available in the draft..? sounds like a "Tinordi trap" lol

Just an extreme example. You go with the best player available in my opinion, even if Mtl needs a centre pretty badly. They could use anything good at this point.

ahh, I see. yeah, best player available is the way to go, I agree. I know the new management often mentioned they like to think outside the box, but I doubt they'll be taking a huge risk if they do get the #1 pick...

I'm sure Molson hired her as a consultant for this year's draft...

but does the flyers management feel the same? because so far the moves they've made basically all indicate they're still trying to be a competitive team...

The loss of Ed Snider left this team rudderless.

I’m not sure, to be honest. I’m sure they’d like to rebuild, but everyone is afraid to lose their jobs.

G is already gone. I think they’ll try to shed JvR, which a team like Arizona would like because he’s owed little money, but still carries a $7m hit.

I’d strip it down for picks and cap relief. Look for a coach who brings a solid culture.

I’ll be happy as long as they don’t try to heal a gunshot wound with gauze. Don’t strap the team with a new overpaid FA who is just gonna keep their head above water.

this is exactly what a lot of habs fans have been complaining about for quite some time now... in Philly's case, I've heard that the attendance numbers might also be a factor, because they're afraid of having too many empty seats if they go for a rebuild route, is there any truth to that?

The Curse of Winning a Playoff Game By 4 Or More Goals. A little bit confusing to me.

a bit of fooling around with numbers just for the sake of trying to be interesting, but I think the gist of it is that more than half of the teams that lost game #1 by 4 goals or more bounced back and won the series...

yeah the jerks seem pretty systematic in the way they play, against an aging booins team. gonna need a huge miracle if they go back home trailing 0-2...
