the dolts are playing better, which was to be expected.

of course. I don't think Leafs can play any better they did the last game. if TB gets rolling, they'll end up winning it.

yeah, the canes probably wanted this matchup, and the booins won't admit it but it got in their heads

bruins are about to fall off a cliff. canes are too quick for the bruins.

Yep ... a few more years and the B's will be joining us at the bottom of the standings.

wouldn't surprise me if we see some cracks as soon as next season. they really don't have much in the way of prospects and most of their best players are getting up there in age.

he would. but to come back to the Bruins, the minute they'll lose him... they'll go down.
they had Krejci on the 2nd line, lost him didn't replace him. they lose Bergeron they're out. they're already on the way down anyway. the center line is key, been saying it for years.

I wonder what kind of contract Bergeron will get, as good as he is it could be easy to give him too much term and/or money...

I think he's 37. wouldn't be surprised if he retires. he has 3 young kids, 3, 4 and 6.
or he could decide to come back home to be closer to the family

he's gonna be 37 in july lol.

what would you give him? would be silly to try to repair the mistake of letting Danault go with another mistake in overpaying for an aging player...

give him 2-3 years, the time for Suzuki and Wright to learn from him and become legit top6 centers.
when Wright is ready to sign his 2nd contract, Bergeron comes off the books.

I'd give him 2 years tops, and then again the cap hit would have to be very low, depending on how much dead weight you're able to get rid of
