There may end up being more when the playoffs are done.

correct. I have little doubt some teams still playing have reached out to his camp indirectly.

I think he’s probably asking himself what teams are a fit ? What team can I go to and make a difference? Is the GM someone I could trust to get the right pieces in place? I’m not so sure Philly has the horses to draw him when comparing to other options. The $ will be there with all these opportunities….so all things being equal why Philly? It just doesn’t seem like a prime destination the way things have gone in the last 8 years.

Imo he’s one of the better coaches out there. I would wait as well to see if a team that was more poised to make a deep run or contend would have interest.

Agree. All philly has potentially is to offer the most money. That is it.

Oh and a senior advisor role....

I think the senior advisory roles are all filled up….besides you have to live and Sarasota and golf everyday for that gig.

Yes you did. You stated that Neely said in his press conference that Cassidy may not be back. That is not what he said. You're a fountain of misinformation. There is a difference between what Neely actually said and what you're opinion is.
Even after it has been explained to you. Still don't understand the nuance between some hockey people and hockey people. LOL
Your comment about not liking someone who is more connected and knowledgeable is not something myself or anyone for that matter would take seriously. Your track record is being wrong about 98%of the time and I'm being generous there.

When the president of the Bruins states: "I think we have to look at some changes in how we play" when asked a simple question "Would you look to bring Cassidy back" is as direct of an answer you are ever going to get from a hockey executive. Its completely comical that you don't get this ... but I'm glad you are once again embarrassing yourself in front of everyone on this forum!

And speaking about being wrong, I predicted Tampa would beat Florida, how is that going so far? And I still have not given up on the Rangers. They will win their games at home just as the Bruins did against Carolina, and note both Carolina's wins against the Rangers at home were much tighter games than with the Bruins. This series is far from over.

Oh I disagree here, the Flyers are a perfect place for a coach like Trotz. Think about it, Trotz has a track record of turning teams around defensively, for example in his first year with the Islanders Trotz turned them from the worst defensive team in the league to the top defensive team in the league. The Flyers have a good young goalie that would benefit greatly from Trotz and his goalie coach. Also, the Flyers have a lot of good veteran players, for example Ellis, Provorov, Sanheim, Risto, Couturier, Hayes, Cam & Laughton. The also have a few emerging players including Hart, TK & Farabee, and they have a solid young core of players like York, Zamula, Allison, Brink, Cates, Frost, & Tippet. And they also have a top 5 draft pick! This is a team that with a good coach and health can easily be a playoff team next season, and thus the Flyers are exactly the type of team that a coach like Trotz would want to be part of!

I don't think you could be more clueless. That's not at all a direct answer. It's completely non-committal.

Here is what he said in full. Again, you omit key parts

"“I think we have to look at making some changes as far as how we play and the way we do some of the things,” Neely said. “I think Bruce is a fantastic coach. He’s brought a lot of success to this organization. I like him as a coach. So we’ll see where it goes. I do think we need to make some changes, and I think Bruce, a couple days ago, alluded to that. So we’ll see where that goes.”

In essence, Neely and the Bruins have not decided one way or the other if Cassidy is going to return. Yet you posted it as Cassidy may not be back. You did that with the bias of hoping that he becomes a candidate for the Flyers job.

Even after reviewing the most simplest of things, multiple times. You can't get it right.

LOL. Apparently you don't realize it's a 7 game series and they've only played 2 games. So you're putting that in you ledger. How is your Ranger/Carolina prediction going? Especially the part of Carolina not being able to come from behind such as they did in game 1. However in the case of that series it's far from over. You make foolish posts.

More hyperbole and foolishness. It's the perfect place!

I'm quite sure that Trotz has higher expectations at this point of his career than just being a playoff team.

People who rag on Zac crack me up. When we don’t have someone that will drop the gloves on the roster, teams absolutely rag doll our players and goalie with no response. When we do, people rag on them for their lack of scoring ability. It’s a fourth liner. What you should worry about is players like Laughton, Lindblom, Provorov, and Hayes that are paid handsomely to score and can’t.

Fighting is down and not a big part of the game anymore. The average seems to be around 20 fights a year for a team. That is 0.24 fights per game. Only 6 teams have more than 30 fights this year. MacEwen is not needed for fighting. At best he could be a 13th forward

Laughton can't score? It's 2022. We don't need a player to drop the gloves.

Ratcliffe was a 50 goal scorer in the OHL…that’s no small thing. He’s had some injuries but I still think he can bring it up a level. He reminds me of Tage Thompson who had a breakout year in Buffalo this year. Not everyone has a hate on for Mac…and not everyone has a hate on for Risto. I think Nate has passed his usefulness but considering the the last two years there are much more pressing issues besides the 4th line vet energy guy….and yes the playoffs are fantastic.

Ratcliffe cant score in the AHL he isnt going to in NHL. He just can't skate. Trade bait at this point

Ratcliffe came on strong offensively down the stretch for the Phantoms -- outplayed a struggling Allison by a wide margin, as a matter of fact-- and he had no problem keeping up with the play during his mid-season NHL stint.

As much as I like you I must say you are a sad individual, there is no joy in you it seems. I think you bask in all the negativity, you wouldn't know what to do if the Flyers were actually good. However I think this team is in a better situation than you do, and that is proven because Trotz is taking the time to interview here. He doesn't seem like the type of person that wastes his time or the time of others.

Yet the genius GM sent him down after 10 games instead of giving him him an extended look. Makes perfect sense for a players who has to clear waivers com the 2022 season.

As does Tanner and Allison. How many of the 3 will get waived once they resign Zac and another schitty vet come free agency.

Zac -brown - schitty vet.....cant wait.

You don't know me and I don't care what you think about me.

Now that we've dealt with that. What you said is that the Flyers are the perfect place for Trotz. That is what is in question. As if one of the worst run teams in the league, years away from potential contending. Without a single elite level player is a perfect situation for a coach of Trotz stature. Only in your world I guess.
We all know how your prognostications for this team work out. Trotz interviewing here doesn't prove anything of what you stated. He's an unemployed NHL head coach and the Flyers have a coaching opening. Simple as that.
