Still don’t leave the front with under 5 seconds left to chase a guy BEHIND THE NET. You can talk about whatever shifts were suppose to happen but the situation takes precedence here. Weegar made a poor choice and may have just cost his team the series. - ClaudeFather
What's costing them the series to this point is the league's highest scoring teams inability to score goals. Especially on the PP. However uninformed fans always have the need for a scapegoat.

After Matt Patricia won a super bowl with New England as their defensive Coordinator, the Detroit Lions hires him to be their head coach for a couple seasons. The Lions tried to do things that “New England Patriots Way”. The Lions even brought over former Patriots players. Of course it failed. The Lions are still the Lions. My question is, what about The Minnesota Wild was ever so great, we have to take from them and bring it here. - SuperSchennBros
I can’t imagine being a Lions fan. I mean the Flyers have drained me the last decade or so but have the Lions ever been good? |
|

|
Exactly! This and in general if the Flyers have to play Seeler in more than 25% of the their games, there is a good chance the team is in trouble. - jd250
If Seeler is playing more than 10 games that is a disgrace. He isnt an NHL dman. A game here or there is all when someone is nicked up. Another case of Chuck taking care of his guy. |

Absolutely, bit of hyperbole on my part. Barkov and Huberdau need to be better. The PP is terrible, shooter tried to tell me they won’t fire Burnette if they lose this series lol. Talk about delusional. |

This cracks me up. He is out there making himself look busy while accomplishing nothing. He offers no value to any team trying to win. He will kill whoever else is on his line offensively and defensively.
He will get at least a 2 year deal. No doubt in my mind. He plays flyers hockey baby. - hello it's me 2050
The Flyers need to be tougher to play against and this can manifest itself in several ways. For example being a fast team a with high puck possession is hard to play against. A team that is well structured defensively is hard to play against. And a team that has size and can be physical is hard to play against. The Flyers IMO have to have elements of all of these. Rinaldo is a physical player, that can fight well and get in on the forecheck. He also has decent speed. What I don't like about his game is he has hands of stone, and thus I think the Flyers should look for a similar player with better hands. |

I saw it as a world class pass by a world class player. Tough to defend perfectly against that. - landros 2 If Weegar maintains his position at the front of the net there is no passing lane to complete the pass. Yes, Kucherov is a dynamic world class player, but in this particular instant he was very short on time. Weegar's misplay opened up the passing lane to allow him to make that play. |

Nice to see Giroux has brought the Flyers' power play with him to Florida - jd250
I kinda thought the same thing…lol…weren’t they at or near the top of league earlier in the season before G arrived? Thing is though, he is making some nice plays on the PP, but they are not ending up in the net. |

Wow, just saw this stat. The Cats are 0-25 on the PP thus far in the playoffs. You aren't making a long playoff run with those stats. |

He does bring an element but I agree if you have big physical wingers like Allison and Tippet playing a strong game on the boards, with the ability to produce as well, then Mac may have a hard time finding a place in the top 12 unless he can bring more to the table. - landros 2
He brings no element except bad hockey. He drags down his line every game.

The last thing you ever want is for both defenseman to be behind your own goal line when you don't have possession of the puck. We see this all too often with the Flyers and we see the results, one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Last night unfortunately Weeger made a bad decision and when you are in a tight game against the 2-time defending champions with all their skill, it ended up costing Florida the game. This is why I picked Tampa in this series, they are very difficult to match up against when their top players are on their games. |

The Flyers don't need to look for anyone. They have plenty of young players to fill the bottom 6.

I agree. But 99% of the time he gets a piece of the puck or gets to Kucherov in time. It’s a little thing, that gets magnified when it ends up in the back of the net. A split second choice. |

Florida was 5th in the league in PP in the regular season at 24.4%. They are dead last in the playoffs at 0.00% |

Do you know how many teams play that way defensively in the NHL? By design in their systems play? Most of them! You repeatedly make these statements thinking that this is one of your beer league teams. Please learn systems play.

I think Biz nasty said on Twitter yesterday that only 3 times in the history of the league has a team won a series without scoring a pp goal. The 3rd time was FLA beating the caps in rnd 1. |
