How long did you expect Florida to wait before they changed their PP? They were 0-25.
After the change Reinhardt scored. - Djapana
They need to make more changes. When Huberdeau has the puck on the half wall. TB doesn't even challenge him. They sit back and take away passing lanes and cover the shooters. Huberdeau doesn't even look at the net or threaten to shoot. He has to challenge the net.

Vasilevsky is also lights out right now - ClaudeFather
That's the other part of it. If Huberdeau wants to shoot. Vasilevsky will take care of that. He has to shoot though to open up other players. Arguably the best offensive team in the league has been neutralized.

It’s incredible in their third go around here they are able to play like this and get those contributions from guys like Perry and Colton. Having true game changers like Hedman and Vasi can’t be mentioned enough. How Flyers management could look at this roster and make the decisions they have is a real head scratcher

Again it’s not a black and white situation. When actual players on the team come out and say we are way to easy to play against, you don’t see that as a problem? I don’t care if it’s Mac….I’d prefer someone that can add other elements besides that. - landros 2
They're easy to play against because they lack the personnel and structure to compete on the ice in the modern game, not because they're incapable of sticking up for themselves when challenged physically. If that's even a problem at all, it's so far down the list of things that need improvement that it's not even worth worrying about.
And Zack MacEwen, while he's not the most useless lunkhead the team has ever employed, he's still an example of how disconnected and distracted management is from the real problems that keep the Flyers from winning.
Morin, Nate Thompson, Nick Seeler, RR, MacEwan... other teams' coaches and players can't wait for those kinds of guys to hit the ice so they can skate circles around them.
How’s your boy Burnette coach of the year doing? - ClaudeFather
Who said he was coach of the year? The argument was that he would be fired. I said he wouldnt get fired. His contract ends this season. So he wont be fired.

Spin it however you want, you don’t know as much as you think you do

Funny their or own players don’t think it’s that far down the list. To compare RR with those other slugs says a lot. You can distract by saying it’s only physical toughness but that’s not the case at all. That’s only part of it. The Flyers have been mentally weak the las two years….as soon as something didn’t go their way they fold up.
You watch teams that are tough in the corners and on the wall and also physical in front of their own net, those are teams that win….I’d prefer the talented guys like Provy and Sanheim to simply box guys out properly on a regular basis. I’d prefer Konecny and Farabee be tougher on pucks. The best players have to buy in. Guys you mentioned aren’t the answer (except RR). Obviously as a -professional team they have a system, they don’t stick to it. There is no system in hockey where it calls for being soft on the puck.
We didn’t see them this year but players like Coots and Ellis play that way….the Flyers need more then a few 4th line plugs who might fight the odd time to become a tougher team to play against. As far as what opposing coach’s want to see on the ice, I don’t think it mattered very much the last two years when as a team they were very rarely committed to the fight.
