Might get Lou fired. Barzal didn’t want to sign him. Stay tuned. |

Barzal got rid of Leo. Not all he does is good. |

I'll never forgive Lou for getting rid of our top line winger. Just shows the incompetence. |

We need to build the 1st line just like we did with JT.

Ironically when we had one of the best first lines in the league ... Snow traded Moulson and a pick for Vanek to make it "even better". Ok/JT/Moulson were one of the top first lines in the league at the time points wise and +/-, and PP was clicking... and we had tons of other issues that needed to be addressed.. (like coach, Defense, second line, etc.). One of the many head scraching moves.

I liked that move it just didn’t work but I’m no Barzal. Just another internet GM. |

You are right the Isles had a lot of other issues to resolve. Moulson put up nice numbers with JT but he could not generate offense on his own. Isles need a 1RW that can skate and generate a lot of offense. The days of a patchwork 1st line should be over for the Isles. |

There are somethings in life that you just need to let go. Unfortunately, this one I just cannot seem to let go.
Toronto fans are still in “the Leafs just lost in the first round” mode. It certainly shows when you see what’s happening on the Cap Friendly website.
John Tavares is currently the 5th-most bought out contract on Cap Friendly’s buyout calculator.
You get what you payed for |

Absolutely brutal contract. Tavares is an 8.5m a year player. Tops. Then again, it seems these days that all GMs have to pay at least 2m over market value just to sign guys because they have no choice. Still glad we dodged that albatross though

Isn't Nelson the top line center?
Anyway Barzal could use speed on his line which is why Parise worked well.
Seems like Lou is looking at skilled forwards to go with the others. |

If any of these guys are available when Free Agency is open submit an offer sheet. It would be worth the first round picks. Guys in bold I know are long shots, but if there is any kind of window, I would go for it.

Cannot believe the Rangers are going to game 7. Guess it helps to have a functioning offense? |
