Lane will have his own agenda and will replace his assistants as needed.
As far as core players that are not in danger of being traded (nothing to do with this write up) I think Barzal, Nelson, JGP, Czikas, Lee, Palmieri, Dobson, Pelech, Pulock, and Sorokin are all core guys that are here to stay. All others are available and fair game as trade pieces. Just my opinion.

No idea about upstate.
For the right price, anyone is trade-able, but I would add Mayfield to your list of guys who are unlikely to be traded. Isles are not deep on their blueline and Mayfield has another year left on his very affordable contract. Plus, Lou loves his playoff warriors. |

I think Upstate is pitching tents all over the Binghamton area.
Agree on mayfield, but because he only has one year left I thought he might be expendable. You may be right though.
Nonetheless, can’t wait for the off-season. |

Nothing surprising here. New head coach will want his own people in place. |

If Lane would have settled for anyone but his own hand picked assistants, I’d be worried.

My question is what is wrong with people? A wanna be tough guy attacking an opposing fan person over the outcome of a sporting event. What is wrong with people?
Where does it state that the purchase of a ticket to any kind of event entails you to participate in the show or event?, Assault another person or person(s)? Throw objects at performer or athletes?
Last time I looked it allowed you a seat, the options to buy food and merchandise, boo or cheer.
I hope this person pays his penalties to the fullest extend of the law. I also, do not want to see this person crying after being caught saying he made a mistake begging for forgiveness. You dumb azz should of thought of that before he started throwing.
That is not going to make the busted jaw and concussion go away. Not to mention the physiological effects of being in a public places.

I totally agree with you. The fact is the guy will be out today to punch someone else in the face. NYC is a complete hell hole where crime is running rampant with worse offenses where the criminals are not being held accountable. Thank bail reform for that. People don’t have to worry about paying for their actions. This needs to be addressed and changed. |

Sadly you have fans that cannot tolerate their teams losing or comments against their team. Most fans are good and mature enough to follow sports and it's not everything win or lose. It's nice when the Islanders win but win or lose you still have to work and pay the bills and deal with health issues and live and these teams will not be helping you with these issues.

They arrested the guy
Anastasio was located inside Madison Square Garden and arrested on two counts of assault, two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment. He has been banned for life from "The World's Most Famous Arena." MSG called the assault "abhorrent" in a statement posted on social media while saying the two victims received medical care.
James Anastasio — whose son, James, is accused of sucker punching a Tampa Bay Lightning fan after Thursday’s playoff game— told The Post Friday he sees no need to “defend” the 29-year-old’s actions.
“He made a choice. Sometimes choices in our lives have consequences,” said the elder Anastasio.
“There’s nothing to defend. It is what it is. We’ll wait for him to come home, we’ll pick him up, and everything’s OK. Tomorrow’s a new day.” There is a great way of looking at things. No wonder why his son is an aZZhole.

I'm not defending that guy. There is no excuse for his actions. However I wonder if the Tampa fan was being an bumhole.
I've been to a bunch of Islander/Ranger games at the Garden. I've always worn my Islander gear and I've never had an issue. Part of that is I'm a big guy. Also I usually went with friends who were Ranger fans. That seems to ease tensions for some reason. I think the biggest factor is I never taunted anyone. I would root for the Isles and cheer but that was it. Generally speaking the easiest way to avoid getting blasted in the face is don't be a Richard.

According to a Ranger fan sitting close by, the Tampa fan did nothing during the same. No idea if anything happened after the game? Still cannot assault someone like that. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he got arrested and I hope the Tampa fan sues his ass. It's not acceptable. Watching the video made me think the Tampa fan was mouthing off. That still doesn't make it okay. Now he can only attend Ranger away games. |

Gotcha! I get being upset when your team loses but to attack someone is hard to believe. These millionaires could care less about the fans and you do something like this?
