Just another slightly better version of Virtanen and lacks top 6 Hockey Sense. Pass. - LordHumungous
At 2 mil per in your middle 6 is perfect and as an added bonus, he isn't a rapist. |

I would be happy if for the first time in the teams 52 year history, they would build a complete organization by building through the draft. Suck and suck bad, gather picks and then add talent when they are ready to compete. So I guess I will always be sad... - carsonagenic
Horvat, Boeser, Demko, Pettersson, Hughes, Pods, Hogs...isn't good drafting lol? |

lol it's not that difficult man...you move money out to balance it out or in a trade. Barrie comes on a good contract and could provide 45-50 points plus the RH Shot.. Yer a good dude Carse but don't lump yourself in with the armchair wanna be GM's here that aren't too bright. Don't let LA just making the PO's cloud your judgement lol - LordHumungous
Barrie won't give 40-50. He needs pp1 and prime offensive minutes for that. Hughes gets those minutes. We need a two way guy. We need our version of MacKenzie Weegar... Barrie ain't it. |

I'm not expecting the same things. But unlike yourself I do understand how JR operates. It will be more on Allvin eventually to get this thing rolling here in Van I don't expect Rutherford's effect levels here to be anywhere close to where they were in PIT. Is what it is man. - LordHumungous
Just because you stalked someone, doesn't necessarly make you an expert. Creepy, yes but not an expert.
Anyway, the GM is Allvin but at least you have Rutherford standing by to be a scapegoat. |

Rutherford was named General Manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2014… - 1970vintage
slap shot geez. We are playing tonight summer Hockey so will light those dumb f ucking goalies up lol
Again don't expect the three cup Rutherford here. Different era...different times. Hope he does well but know what to expect. |

It is, but that is our NHL roster. there is nothing coming up behind it for support. Its like having a great house with no foundation under it. It will look good for a while then collapse under its own weight, in this case salary cap crunch. |

Folks expectations of a great prospect pool every single season needs a re-working I think. So you round things out with trade's FA's and so forth. There is more to clubs than picks/prospects...although they are a huge part. Gillis basically added all the ingredients we needed to win that cup without a huge draft record and prospect development. many ways to do it.
Anyways the golf course beckons and have Hockey tonight. Talk amongst yourselves for a bit and we'll pick this up later. Best to all on this fine Canada Day weekend under castro's kid.

Over in Karine's blog, she is again pitching the idea of Montreal trading up with pick #26 & #33, for a pick in the middle of the 1st.
#15 for #26, #33 & Tampas 4th works for me. |

We have acquired defenseman Philippe Myers and forward Grant Mismash from Nashville in exchange for Ryan McDonagh. |

This would have been like the Canucks sending Höglander and Poolman to Tampa for McD.
Tampa going to save between 3-4m depending on who plays where. The drop off on D is a bit steep though, unless they can compensate internally. |

Ya McD was one of their better defensive D for sure. They must like Myers a lot. |

I’m going to make a bozo the clown avatar when I get home. At my wife’s business helping her today as staff is all off for Independence Day weekend.
That was one of the better drunk Reuby blowups last night, almost on par with a Vantel rage quit |
