That would be good value. Top talent in the draft. Could see him fall into the 2nd honestly. Russian organizations really screw the kids.

Will it? No reason to chance that at all. Late round picks? go for it, ala Pavel Bure. 1st Rounder, not a chance for me. Lots of other players available that are good picks at 15 on F and D.

From what I've read the military service issue is limited to a few, and not Putin screwing the west/nhl, 1 more year of development and then bring him over
