I’d do that trade as well but I suspect Holland wants a more proven player - Nucker101
He needs cap room to try and resign Kane, Yamamoto, Kulak and McLeod and get a starting goalie for 7 mil total. |

Thanks Carol, so what you’re saying is we can expect a JT Miller for Lafreniere + K’Andre Miller trade any moment now? |

Poolparty is a good role player, I’d offer Holland Pearson and see if he’s dumb enough to bite - Nucker101
Did you read Jfresh sub stack on him? To sum it up, he's pretty much Jason Richardinson if he were to play with McDavid and Draisital
I believe it was he is an actual minus to the teams power play. |

Why not ask for one of them?

I’m not a big jfresh fan. I think JP is a good energy player that can play up and down a lineup. He has better offensive instincts than JD, that’s a laughable comparison.
Saw your edit: JP isn’t a PP player, he’s miscast there. |

Why does Van want to overpay for a play killer? - manvanfan
Kids got the "Yips" with the puck. He has raw talent, can skate and has size. Already has good defensive acumen at 24. fits in age wise and you can probably sign him in the 2milish range. He needs the Nichuskin reset. And I don't think Hogs and DiPetro is an overpay. |

I wouldn’t go hard after him, you make that offer to Holland and if he says no you move on. |

Value contract that you really can't lose on.
Either he plays well and you win the deal, he goes to Abby and you pay him peanuts, or he gets waived. We are not talking about wasting a 4th OA on him, that already happened. |

That's fabulous congratulations.
Here's a quote from there
It’s tough to get around the fact that Puljujärvi has registered a point on only 47% of the 5v5 goals that the Oilers have scored with him on the ice in the past two seasons. Out of 333 forwards with over 1000 5v5 minutes played in that time, that ranks 329th, right behind Trevor Lewis and Jason Richardinson.
The guy sucks at passing and shooting for the past couple of seasons. 3rd line 3rd wheel pretty much. |

If NY isn't going to come close to VAN's asking price they simply move on to another team which may be more accommodating.
I don't think this management group is interested in getting fleeced during a season ticket campaign.

With upside. That's what taking a chance on a value deal is all about. You will get him for less than what Richardenson is being paid as he is RFA.

I'd offer Dermott. I don't think I'd offer players that have some upside for a player that is trending down. |

I can’t decide if I want Lafreniere + K Miller or Dobson + 1st more. I guess I could live with either. |

What a novel idea!
Lebrun suspects the JT Miller trade could be done this week "if a team steps up with the package the Canucks are asking for." |

Sure Dermott. I just thought we could use Dermott on our All Star defense.
So Pullmyharvey for the 3rd we paid for Dermott. Not a bad gamble. |

I don’t think anyone acquiring him would expect him to be a guy who creates offense. He’s a strong forechecker and a guy who’ll battle along the boards and go to the net. I don’t think he’s a bad with the puck like JD(who struggles to even receive/make passes and skate with the puck). I do think he’s pretty uncreative with the puck though and not a guy who holds onto the puck long in the offensive zone, hence the stat above from JFresh.
I’d play him on a shutdown line or along side two players who are creative offensively but need a digger to get them the puck.
Like I said, I’d lowball and take a shot if you get him cheap but not target him specifically |

We’ve been burned by this so many times, that it wouldn’t even surprise me. Sedins and Edler alone set us back probably 5 years. |
