Well to me it's contradictory to sign Horvat for 6+ years and then also say that Weegar isn't a fit for this team.
That hypocrisy seems very Benning-like to me - Nucker101

He finished 9th in league scoring last year. Surely we should dismiss that and devalue our own players? - I-own_da-Northwest
What do you want me to tell you? Would you rather take the best offer or risk losing him for nothing? |

Per Sens blogger, lord please be true lol:
UPDATED - Ottawa is talking to Vancouver about D Tyler Myers. He has a 10 team list as part of his NTC. Myers has 2 years left on his deal at 6M AAV. He's 32 years old and a RD. The Canucks are looking to shed dollars on their payroll for JT Miller. Ottawa would most likely have to include a 1st round pick in 2023 plus a defensive prospect I'm told. More to come... |

Well management said they want to target U-26 players and if you believe the rumours they’re also looking to get Horvat extended long term which kicks in when he’s 28 years old next year.
They’ve also stated that they would like Miller back and signed. |

Best offer before end of draft. I wouldn’t want to overplay my hand. Ideally you say no to the Rangers though if they keep offering spare parts like Lundkvist and Chytil, I’d rather see Miller light them up in Washington then |

Sure, getting rid of Myers is fine, but that means they aren't getting rid of Miller.
Rather they dump both. |

I would take the potential Washington deal. Mini has been tooting McMichael before he got drafted and although he didn't play great last season, he wasn't terrible.
Lundquist and Chytil is a joke. |

This isn’t real. Plus I doubt Myers waives |

Usually, if someone says they are targeting a player, it means from another organization, both Horvat and Miller are currently Canucks, which means they are not from another organization. |

I’m sceptical about McMichael’s upside but I guess you can’t complain even if he tops out as a solid long term 3C. Lapierre seems like he’s 2C potential but he’s also another hit to the head away from being out long term.
I’d be interested in that right side D prospect they have. Oreo or whatever |

I’d trade him to WAS for a 2nd before I’d take trash from NY. I hate that team |

Nothing wrong with getting a 2C and a 3c, but yes I have been wanting Iorio since well before he was drafted.
I bring up players all the time, usually well before they are drafted, then they get shot down by many in here because they are either of the bigger variety, or they are Canadian, then a few seasons later, those same people are wanting the team to trade for those players.
