He 17 (frank)ing years old, holy poop…so guess that’s it for him, won’t grow the coveted 1” to make the 6’ threshold set by you lot…holy (frank), as mini says the tears 😭, oh the tears

Thought prospects was also an area you all whine about, here is a good one.

Once again no whining. Just think we should be adding to our non existent D prospects. We have none.

There we go, with PIT taking Pickering, perhaps now there is a Miller trade to work out with them

I believe the GM of the Canucks said that they would go BPA. The organization could use a bit of everything.

I'm not going to pretend like I know these kids or picks, but after he was drafted, I went to a bunch of draft analyst mock drafts, and the kid was ranked 8/9/10 on quite a few that I saw. Seems like he fell to us.

In all fairness to Allvin, he picked the BPA. I had him at 11.

I also won 100 dollars, because I bet that it doesn't matter who is available, they will be picking a Swede in the 1st.

I expect them to pick at least 2 more Swedes in this draft.

The pick was going to be controversial by several no matter who it was. I can understand both sides of “for and against”

I’m just bustin balls,

Who?

There were no D at 15 worth gambling on. Imo

of course.

I'm pretty meh on the pick. I think he will be a good player and will allow for other moves later.

Could have traded down but I think you are then leaving a tier or 2 down.

Well, at least we still have Miller.

- LordHumungous

I’m thinking Garland will be a future trade asset after this pick. Still time for PA to make more changes.

True, there are many holes throughout the roster. But we have at least 1 forward prospect...lol, and none on D. Since D usually take longer to develop as the position is the hardest to learn, why do we draft a winger that is the easiest and quickest position to develop?

smart bet, but Canucks and Swedes is a bit stalker creepy. Maybe Sweden should take out a restraining order against the Canucks.

No thanks, big and mean might upset the over abundance of softies.

Can sign UFA’s for bottom 6 roles. Speed & skill is todays game.

Good thing we have the size to intimidate the other teams and the new swedish meatball can really bust out the tight pant style with Petey. The 14 year Olds are going to go wild with all the blue steel looks our top lines will have. Hopefully Daniel will show the guy how to take a good punch in the head when it matters. And Henrik will help him not shoot even though that is his current strength.

I think it might be better if we stand pat and use the Oilers method to build through the draft for the next 10 seasons.

When I started talking Bischel and Pickering, you also said they were 2nd rounders, just like you did when I brought up Jiricek and Nemec as top-pairing defensemen, 2 years ago.

Sorry about that VHG, that was meant for minivan.

I don't know a ton about Lekkerimaki, but the amount of snivelling and crying in here tells me the Canucks made a great pick

Why not just trade another winger for an NHL proven defender?
