Exactly. I don't care if they are Swedes, Canadians, or Martians. Stop trying to reinvent the way a team should be built. And doing it with the least valuable and least important position. We are building the team like trying to win a game of Monopoly by owning Baltic Ave and the Utilities.

Honestly, if they took a C instead of a winger, I could get behind it. Or trade down to get a D and a 2nd.

Patience bud. They’ve 2 years to put in the changes they see needed. Gotta believe more trades are coming. JTM is going to bring a haul when it happens & I don’t believe for a moment that’s all that will change.

But D take longer to develop so drafting them is a longer process. And as much as we need to trade Miller for cap reasons, it does not help us win anytime soon. And stealing from position (Paul) doesn't help when you have to give it to position (Peter). just shuffling the deck chairs...

He does have elite sniping skills. Elite skills are hard to come by, especially at 15.
- golfingsince

Only 17 in mens league says volumes. Maturity is an intangible that is easily overlooked. Many prospects are busts that never show they have it or become it.

I never bought into Swedes are soft. They take it but don’t dish it like many would like. Different types of toughness & they are mostly mentally tougher than given credit.

I like you nighty, but we both know that a sub 6 foot winger was not what this team needed. They added Kuz, re-signed Boeser. C/D is shallow as (frank)

That's amazing, a small lie. Pretty much no truth to that. Like at all.

Why do I have this feeling that we traded Jim Benning for an older, crankier, wrinkled, bald and more erudite Jim Benning in JR/PA?

Very true but we have later D picks from Benning that can fill the roles we want on D. They just just aren’t flashy & shiny. Again patience.

You should relax. Any of these guys including Lek are at least 3 years away from making the team let alone making an impact. Lots can happen in that time.

This.
No whining just looking at the depth of the whole system, and we have 2 wingers in Danila Klimovich and Jonathan Lekkerimaki. That is it guys...

Cannot argue that. Just saying 15oa was bound to draw mixed opinions. Again it’s only the draft with the UFA season coming next & trades.

Right….idiots, he’s 17 years old, a lot can happen in the next three years. He adds significant talent to the team’s prospect pool. Building takes time.

And its comments like this that I just don't understand. I try to have an intelligent legitimate conversation about our lack of depth and you get this type of answer....

That’s because dmen and centers are generally the most talented, important and intelligent players
