I think Wheeler is a good comparison for how Miller might trend. Wheeler is 35 now.

I'd say the odds are close to zero that he re-signs there. He complained about his usage there and the wasn't happy with his defense either.

Ya, I think that’s a fair comparison. I’ve loved Miller the whole time, but I also love we are potentially selling high for once. If he stays at a reasonable rate great, sounds like he won’t so it’s the time. No rush though, wait for the big return

Nope. Cus you know, guys that finish top ten in scoring - they're a dime a dozen.....wait, does that math work out???

Miller is in that group of guys like, Wheeler, Huberdeau, Marchand, Lindholm, F Forsberg, Krieder - that hit their prime after 25 but will play well into the mid 30s.

Miller will get his 7-8yr contract and unless injured, he'll be effective/worth it for 4-6 of those years.

I think he's easily worth more than the Fiala return. I think what's throwing a lot of us off is we're so used to getting absolutely F'ed in the A by Benning that our expectations are all outta wack as to what Alvin/JR can actually pull off.
