Sorry but TDL and draft are are once a year... major opportunities are made on these days. Can't blame Benning for not acquiring picks and prospects now as much as you'll try. It's on the new group if they don't make significant changes to what the experts on here call a disaster. You spent years poopting on people who talked about the difficulties left behind by Gillis... I hope to hell you are not going to play that card moving forward.... besides, this group has a lot more to work with that JB had when he took over. There should be no excuses then.

Yeah see that’s the kinda excitement I was hoping for with new regime. Rangers now blackhawks, several teams have accelerated rebuilds in and around the draft. Granted I don’t know who in addition to Miller we could’ve fetched a bunch of picks for … maybe Miller, Rathbone, Garland

Our team just seems so … boring the last several years. Like if you’re gonna be bad … blow it up … try something different.

maybe not publicly but amongst GM's it leaked? just found his answer interesting, he could've easily declined to comment or denied the trade talks occurring, that answer made him sound frustrated

I just feel that we've done this song and dance before with Gillis and then Benning being all excited to grab a player that slid down the board by other teams who had issues with the player's size, skill, IQ or personal life and inevitably they either bust or turn into farm fodder.

I've never been an advocate of straight grabbing BPA, just because there's never a guarantee you can trade your surplus for your areas of need.

I think our surplus now is not necessarily where it will be in the future. We grabbed a kid with elite sniping ability. He's not big, but he's not small. He can easily fill in to a 200 lb player.

Would I have preferred a D or C? Absolutely but I think they would have been a reach whereas he fell due to positional importance.
