who knows what the deal was...Pick trades, Miller, Myers, Garland, etc. - Nucker101
If it was Myers for #13 I’m going to be mad. |

but did Allvin miss out on fleecing him? - Nucker101
No idea, that would be purely a guess. Maybe Lou said he wasn’t including his first rounder so Allvin walked away? Unless Allvin says something you go ahead and guess all you want. |

What we do know is Lou's not happy with Allvin.

Meh, it could just be a coy response to a rejected offer. |

They want it to be Allvin’s fault because they’re mad at his pick |

He’s a senile old man.
I actually ran into him in Vegas a couple years ago. He’s way shorter than I expected.
He and his wife had the room directly across from us at the Wynn. He and his old lady shuffled along like a couple in a old folks long term care facility. I dont know why he’s still employed? There has to be some new talent to replace him. |

“Since 2016, the Winnipeg Jets have made 6, 1st round selections. Those 6 players have combined for 183 goals.
Patrik Laine has 176 of them.”
I don’t think that’s very good, call me crazy |

Kind of cherry picking a bit though. The years before that their 1st rounders were Connor, Trouba, Ehlers, Morrisey, Schiefle. So not too shabby. |

Why do people think isles/lou wanted myers? He’s horrendous in a top 4 role and has a terrible contract to boot. I think you’d literally have to pay a premium to dump the contract.
Next they’ll say OEL is being pursued by GM of the year joe Sakic. Makes as much sense as the myers rumour to me. |

Does anyone dread the Wright pick by Seattle? I feel like 3 teams made a huge mistake and he’s going to become a franchise player. |

I know you are, and I’m good with you being good with it. We all have our blind spots, that’s what makes us individuals. Imagine if everyone was like Don.
Just kidding Don, even though you were dead wrong today, you’re still welcome here. |

I think he'll be just what he is, a middle six center that has some offensive ability but will never be that top guy. A lot of people had doubts about his skills translating to the NHL. |

Hard to say, Bo was a plodding skater that Wright isn't, but Bo had better hands and had more leadership abilities so... |

Ok I’ll end with this take then. I’m just quite disappointed no bold moves by Van 1st round of draft.
If we were a Miller away from contending, then fine I’m all for keeping …. 99 pts is nothing to sneeze at. But we are so far off, I argue farther off than most think because demmer is so good. We won games we had no business winning last year dokey because of him. Yes your goalie is part of your team, but he looked fatigued down the stretch when we had those last meaningful games keeping the playoff dream alive. He was overworked a big chunk of the year.
So I was hoping for some bold moves, a bunch of picks, something. Heck we’re probably 2 or 3 years away from finding hughes a D partner that allows him to be close to the player he was with tanev. Sigh, oh well I guess there’s free agency … a time historically Van thrives (haha that’s not fair to new regime, some jadedness there) |

Not to mention that I feel that 99 points by Miller was inflated a bit and is likely not repeatable. Clearly he's going to want more than we are willing to afford, because Petey's deal is the top of the forwards pay scale on the team. He's probably looking for a deal like Tavares got in TML and that's just not happening. |

I feel like he had an off year but was still 1.5ppg in the ohl. I feel that his skill level is going to be like Malkin’s when he first broke in and he’s got a lot to prove. I think Seattle was gifted a gem and Seattle will close the gap on the whole division with this single pick. I feel that he’s franchise-level, but not generational(there will be two of those next year). |
