I mean, if you get another untouchable for Romanov I guess that changes things... - BashCH
I did mention Romanov in trades before, not because I wanted him to go at all, but you have to give to get. Habs fans always make a package of crap to get something good. It's not the way it works. |

Still trying to figure out why they had to give the NHL GM of the year award yesterday. |

Just so Serge Savard could take a jab at Bettman.

Something like this. I was already in favor in trying to get Chiarot back. Would make even more sense now, if they can make it work cap wise.
They may hold on to Petry for a while now. |

The problem I have with this draft, it's that it is mainly still Bergevin's and Timmins' staff when it comes to the scouting department.
I'm wondering if changes are coming after today. |

I get Chicago is going full rebuild, but I'm still a little perplexed about why they thought a 21 year old centre, talented and big, couldn't be part of it.
Oh and I'm not a fan of the players they drafted by giving away 2 of their biggest assets in Debrincat and Dach so that doesn't help their case for me. - Scabeh we will let them know

Hughes mentioned at some point he doesn't wish for more than 2 rookies on defense at the same time.
Even if Petry stays, I expect the Habs to sign another veteran defenseman or make another move for one.
Oh and Xhekaj might have a shot at camp too. |

Didn’t Gorton bring his buddy to work with the last bicep club member? I am sure he has HuGo’s ears |

For a guy that seemed pretty reserved he looked really comfortable talking to the crowd |

I know about Xhekaj, but they will have to chose.
I mention Chiarot cause he was here before and may agree to come back. Otherwise, most UFAS will most likely ignore mtl this summer.
But they can always make a trade. How many forwards do they have now? |

Nothing spells success like giving up draft capital to get rid of 1 year old contracts. |

Weakest draft in a long time. What they could have got at 25 will still be available at 38. |

It's funny what a few months can do. This spring most, myself included, were thinking that there were bprobably 3 untouchables on the team. Suzuki, C.C. and Romanov. Fast forward to yesterday and seeing a game plan take shape, now we're like yeah, OK. - Habshistory
Why would a second pairing damn with little offense be untouchable? I like Romanov but he's always been overated by the fans. |

I think they are trying to find a goalie…
In Toronto, like in Montreal…. They always try to over simplify their failure by putting it on 1 player and staying put…
Leafs did not go far in the playoffs because of the goalie…. All rest is perfect!!!
Well, Good luck with that!!! |

Mainly because they are very thin at that position. Prospects are prospects, they take time.

I am the first who dislikes Bettmarde but after the first minute of booing, it became kind of bothering and was just having the impact of leaving the little rat too long on the stage. Best would have been to remain silent or chanting “bring back the Nordiques! Bring back the Nordiques”…
We need a better enemy than Toronto to get better!!!
