Seattle gets the guy with the best name of the draft. Jagger Firkus! |

Firkus, Nyman, Kokko, and Goyette in the second round. Nice mix of shooters, playmakers, and a decent bet on a goalie. Solid round for the Kraken. |

I thought they had a steady, solid draft. |

6 of the 11 picks in the draft were centers. I think there's a clear message here to build down the middle. I dig taking the goalie too. I think taking a goalie in every draft is a fine strategy. |

Firkus Circus!!!!
Seattle had a strong draft. Great fortune day one, and definitely followed it up well on day 2.
Agree on the focus of building up the middle, plus never hurts the trade chips to have a lot of centers too. Glad on the goalie pick. Need to start stocking and developing there.
Overall gotta give Francis an A on this one. On to free agency. |

Surprising who didn't get qualified. Donato hurts some. Guy was a hard worker and came to play every night. Bit surprised on seeing Fleury too. Not a lot of depth but was pretty clear early on that Hakstol just was not a fan of his.
See what Francis comes up with tomorrow here. Hoping with cap space and some pretty decent options the Kraken up front get upgraded. |
