I saw it on twitter it must be true. Perguins, obviously a parody account.

I say the order of trade possibilities are Pettersson then Dumoulin. I really can't see any reason to trade Marino.

Would you guys do Marino for Eberle? I feel like that could be a good fit.
- Rinosaur

If it’s one for one that could give us a legitimate top 6 winger, and the Kraken could get a young, cost controlled defenseman, so I think it could work out well for both sides.

yikes at that Nicolas Deslauriers contract. four years wtf
- DeflatedPucks

I was hoping the Pens would sign him just to see the reaction of this board. But not for 4 years.

Seems like Hextall put himself in a rough position. 9 dmen on one-way contracts. Everyone and their mother knows Hextall needs to trade 1 or 2 now. Don’t really understand the need to sign a dman with no trade set in place yet

Would have been great to get rid of Zucker and sign Perron.

Yeah, let's get a player who's already failed here once.

Maybe he was in talks with Rutherford on Marino for Miller and Jim had Ron thinking it was a sure thing and then Jimmy punked him. I could see Rutherford doing that. Fits his MO with how he left the Penguins. Probably told Ron to get lost and go sell ice cream.

I like Perron, a lot, but he didn't work out the 1st time he was here... But we got Hags for him, so there's that

Also, Perron signed with the Wings already

Here's what I expect to hear from Hextall:

"I like the moves we made today"

"We're trying to get some deals down, nothing happened yet, but hopefully we can get something done."

"If we can't get anything done, it's not a big deal since we like the team we have right now."

Flames were offering 8 years. I wonder if that would get it done.

Yup. Good thing they didn't bring back Naslund way back when. What a bust.

Marino >>> Rutta.

Good luck with Rutta. Guy is dependable, but doesn't move the needle much. Not fast, not a heavy hitter, no offense. For having no offense, you would expect some shutdown element to his game? Wrong. He's steady, but not a PK guy.

Watching him in Tampa - meh.

The biggest thing is foot speed is no longer a requirement to play with Malkin.

"I can't hear what GalacticStone says, because I've got my two Stanley Cup rings plugging my ears" - Rutta probably
