Good luck with Rutta. Guy is dependable, but doesn't move the needle much. Not fast, not a heavy hitter, no offense. For having no offense, you would expect some shutdown element to his game? Wrong. He's steady, but not a PK guy.

Wouldn't. Just addressing older comments had him pairing with Letang becuase of his pairing with Hedman.

They both suck so it’s a wash.

Trading one of Dumo, Marino, or Pettersson was a luxury at the time to open up cap space to make a splash in free agency. Now it’s essentially a necessity.

I’m just saying the value of these players probably dropped now that other GMs see the log jam on defense.
