I'm honestly very excited about the Larsson signing. He's basically what ZAR wants to be.
- Rinosaur

What am I missing here?... A quick look at both of their production stats shows very similar offense production... And ZAR was one of the best D forwards in league in his time with Pens

Guy wanted to go to Philly but the Flyers org is so inept they weren’t prepared for this eventuality and lit all their cap space on fire before he hit the market. Once Philly became a non option I think he just went for the biggest bag.

Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Johnny Gaudreau to a seven-year contract worth $9.8 million per season, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported

Wow, that's still quite a commute to South Jersey, but definitely better than Calgary lol

You’d think if the money was close enough, he would of went to NJ with a young up and coming team. NJ has some good pieces to be competitive soon. CBJ looks like they have no direction

Hex said he can’t confirm Larsson but can confirm Archibald. Probably hasn’t been finalized yet or Friedman thought it was a done deal when it wasn’t

Johnny Hockey to the Metro ffs... Metro has gotten stronger so far.. I even think Torts first season will have Philly earning a chunk more standings points over last season. Going to be a lot of hard faught battles come October. Let's get this started. I'm ready.

CBJ is such a weird choice. They're not contending and they're not in a rebuild. They're kind of just there. I wonder what this means for Laine.

-Considering crazy backup G market- our best signing today is Tokarski, a nice depth option.

Think about how bad Calgary has to suck for you to leave $15M on the table, playing with a team that is competitive to move to... Columbus...

I thought it would be more likely the Pens would get him than the Jackets. So how about Pettersson and Zucker for Laine please?

Out of NJD, NYI, CBJ , I think if I had to choose I’d put him in CBJ … devils have a much better up&coming roster and the isles are just a better run org at the moment , like Rino said CBJ is just kinda meh , not run well, not an exciting young team, not on the cusp etc. … probably the best landing spot IF he HAD to come to the metro

Except Larsson generates offense and scores. Not to mention ZAR is a UFA. They can re-sign him if they really wanted to recreate that.
- Rinosaur

You’re aware statistically that before last season ZAR and Larsson put up similar numbers right?

Yeah. 33% ain’t much offense compared to 18% lol that’s still like.. no offense. Considering they both hover around 15-17 points
