Just saw what? I was just pointing out that I like him - picklerick
oh, lol, it was pointed out that he has a late september birthday and it's given him the rare benefit of his draft year to be able to go to Hartford this season instead of going back to juniors, unless the Ranger prefer that, it's up to the Rangers
Like Othmann doesn't have this, it's either the Rangers or juniors for him, no hartford option

Id rather let him keep playing in juniors. No reason to rush him, especially with Cuylle likely to battle for a spot on the main roster.
Do you think they work on extensions now like all these other teams are doing? It really seems to be going that way with the money in the NHL. Pay them and keep them when they’re just finishing up with their ELC. Miller and Laf maybe a wise decision. Especially Miller.

I’d like it, Miller 8 years 5.5 per
Laf 8 years 6.5 per

That is way too much money for 2 guys that really havent proven much.
Personally, I think Drury should work both of them to bridge deals. Give them both 3m for 1yr.
Take it to the 2024 off-season for the long extension when its expected for the cap to go up by a significant number. Its also the year Trouba's contract becomes a NTC.
Keeping the number as low as possible for just the 1 year, gives us the chance to possibly negotiate an extension with Patrick Kane IF we should go after him at the deadline and we decide to keep him for the duration of Panarin's contract.

I'd say Miller has proven more than Laf at this point. Laf showed a lot in the playoffs, however, if I were asked right now who has had more of an impact, hands down Miller is earning a new contract.

I agree, however, does his contract merit a larger extension then what Lindgren got, for example?

Right now. Dunno. But maybe ongoing, as we all know Lindgren's style of play will ultimately result in his limbs falling off mid-game sooner than later.
