I sure as hell will boycott any company that sticks it's (frank)ing logo on the Habs jersey.

I'm a one man revolution.

yeah I get it. still, if those companies pay teams to wear logos, MTL could say no, because they don't need that poop. when I hear people say "we'll get used to it" it pisses me off, because it leads me to believe they'll just be adding more and more crap on the jerseys as years go by. they already have ads on the boards, on the ice, between breaks, etc.., jesus christ when will it be enough?
- Pat1993

you are aware there has been ads on the jersey for years, right? its a business at the end of the day, pat.

put it this way. if having an ad on a sweater allows your team to keep a pivotal player instead of having to trade him because of the cap, are you now in favor of it?

that being said, i am not a fan of it, either. at the very least, the O6 unis should be kept pristine because of the tradition and the fact every one of them is iconic to hockey fans.

2050 ... they will tatoo their logo on your eyeballs when you get into the arena.

It's for you kiddos to deal with that poop ... I'll be wormfood by then.

most of the NA teams have gone to some variation of the Euro football team model in naming of the teams.

that doesn't seem to have worked very well so far imho... ads from the company making the jersey and equipment, that I'm fine with. but it should stop there.

and 100% agreed on the original six jerseys that should be untouchable.

I know. I find it's silly though, as though calling it "soccer" was a disgrace. (frank) them.

Yeesh! ... the originality is killing me. Nothing says bland like being called the same as all other teams.

Aren't all teams in Europe called FC something?

I think most of them, yes. and I'm fine with what, I just don't understand why we can't have our own soccer culture in North America... I guess the logic is if they copy the better european teams eventually they'll be as good and well respected.

Same here ... CCM, Bauer, Sherwood, etc have been on equipment for ages but the first one that puts a freakin' Kotex ad on the Habs jersey will have to deal with me and my old Sherwood.

I'm sure you'd be fine with a Kotex ad on Drouin's jersey

We could then share a room at Hôpital en santé mentale Pierre-Janet and plan the overthrow of the NHL leadership.

Better buy your jersey now, or they will all come with advertising soon... and you will need new ones every time there is a new sponsor!
