Don't believe that at all. Chucks actions confirm this imo.

I think this is pretty accurate. I am fine with any player on the current roster getting traded for futures.
- mickel25

Me too.

Until this team is completely purged it’s just unload on them.

Also dippy I never said Ellis sat out all this time solely because he didn’t want to play here twit.

I said he was injured. He clearly needed to heal. WE DONT KNOW THE EXTENT OF INJURIES. IVe always said they go hand in hand.

No desire to leave Nashville
Absolute no desire to play in poopty philly
Nagging injuries need time to heal
Maybe surgery
Body heals
Mind heals
Resumes playing
Request trade

Been consistent from day 1 with all that.

Per usual it’s you that try to twist something into narrative to fit your wrong assumptions. I’m your dippy brain it became he sits out 1 and a half years because he doesn’t want to play in Philly

Wrong

- Stayin alive

So clarify. Was all the time he missed due to injury? Or was some of it just not wanting to play? How does that all work?

You are smart you can figure it out. You have your opinion and I have mine.

There is no reason why JG isn't a Flyers except that Chuck didn't want him.

Hey, no problem if you don't want to discuss it. There is no question that Fletcher wanted Gaudreau.

Disagree - I think he couldn't make deals to make the space.

*JG is a very good player but would've been a waste to have on this current team so whatever the reason he's not here is irrelevant.

Are you insane? Nobody said anything about trading Sean Couturier the second he stepped off IR. Like, who picks these fights?? How do you come back for more and continue to fall on your face?

I’m only aware that this is your second dumb argument of the day. There might be more but I haven’t back read yet.

What happened to the Unanimous agreement back in June among fans that we didn’t want Johnny Gaudreau because we’re not going anywhere? Even his 115 points couldn’t make us better. Now we’re bickering that we don’t have him and he should be here??

Chuck had over a year to figure out what he wanted to do in terms of JG. A year to mastermind a plan even he is competent enough to do.

Don't sign Tony D or Nic D. Could have bought out JVR. Had options. Even go back to Risto. 10 million on Tony D and Risto. So the money was there. Add in the Oscar buyout. The Flyers could have made it work.

You do not sign any small fish to use up cap space until you secure the big fish. If you want the big fish. Even an imbecile like Chuck knows this being a Harvard graduate.

Hell I bet JG would have taken even a little less than what he signed for to come here.

Fletcher could've traded Konecny or traded Provorov. There is a host of potential ways that he could've made the cap space. He could've chosen to trade the first round sweetener to move JVR to gain the cap space.

None of that shows that Fletcher didn't want Gaudreau. What it shows was that he was not willing to do something to add Gaudreau.

Fletcher wasn't willing to gut his defense and create an opening when there already was one with Ellis not likely to play. Right or wrong, he felt that Ristolainen needed to b re-signed and he prioritized getting a partner for Provorov over signing Gaudreau.

Fletcher didn't just find out what the market was to move JVR in July. He knew the odds of being able to move him at a cost that he could live with, was not good. So he moved on. If at the last moment, he could find away to move JVR, then he would make an offer to Gaudreau. There is no doubt in my mind why Gaudreau waited to sign late in the day.

None of what Fletcher did, shows that he didn't want Gaudreau. It only shows that he was only going to sign him under the right conditions and he wasn't going to leave the team short in other areas to do it.

That is your take. Doesn’t equate to the correct one. Then agin your are always correct in your world.

Has nothing to do with JVR. He made other moves wasting cap space. If you really want someone and its your top priority then you don’t make minor ones.

Gut his defense. Now that is funny. Brought 50% of that horrible defense back. Find a partner for Ivan is even funnier.

Did Wade Allison ever sign a contract? If not what is the benefit of him waiting or is he hoping to force a trade?

I made a sincere effort to give a good faith opinion. Why the nastiness?

Stating it has nothing to do with JVR is non-sensical. I clearly stated in my opinion that signing Gaudreau was not his top priority. Getting a partner for Provorov was. What on earth makes that funny?

So without Ellis, if he doesn't re-sign Ristolainen, he then needs to add two defenseman. Makes it even harder to add Gaudreau. So what's funny about that?

it seems to me that my explanation was just too well thought out for you to respond with a good faith reply.

By the way, I don't think I'm just right here. It's a lot of speculation but it's what I believe. I have my opinion and you have yours.

Pretty clear.
He had injuries piled up over the years (fact)
Chuck trades for him
He comes here plays a little (maybe sustains more injury maybe not. We don’t know because not disclosed)
Sits because injured AND no desire to be here. Hmmmm he played through “injury” in Nashville but not philly.
Team blows no playoffs in sight sits rest year
Still no surgery year later and no clear disclosure of injury or medical plan hmmmm because that’s possible. First time in sports this long with the (frank)ery.
Sees teams still blows with roster moves
Still no disclosure just some fake bs media propaganda for those in the back ( back in July) bs
Shocker it’s august still nothing.

Pretty clear surgery is NOT needed or at least not major surgery and this charade is for one reason only.

HE DOESNT WANT TO BE HERE

Obviously he would and no player would really just come out and say hey I’ve had these injuries and I don’t want to be here so ima just string those along.

Obviously philly can’t come out and say it because then pitchforked for even trading for him like he was the savior of last seasons plan to contend (which was dumb to begin with)

This team needs to be purged.

The good young unsoiled players moved for simply not fair to them.
