i had a temper as a kid. i may have used my stick a bit. when i got kicked out it was only because we had a guy who had been threatened with being kicked out and everyone on all the other teams knew he was on his last chance so they tried to goad him all the time. someone got all tangled up with him right in front of my crease and i could see he was about to lose it so i grabbed the guy and gave him a shot with my blocker, figuring i had more chances left than he did. i guess because richie was involved at all they got all mad. he stayed but i was politely asked not to come back to the rink.

also, richie might have killed him. so maybe i saved him from jail. richie randenello was a tough sob. when he first showed up he played with gardening gloves because he couldn't afford gloves. we got him some used ones out of somebody's trunk eventually but he played a handful of games in gardening gloves first. his hands must have been all lumped up.
