I don't disagree that Flyers management is incompetent. However that doesn't mean that you should just jettison talented players because they don't have the potential to be elite or because you don't have elite players. They do matter.

Just saw this elsewhere and thought it was noteworthy cause it's a bit of a surprise, but the Flyers are on 13 national broadcasts this upcoming season. Really a shame that the national media still wants to broadcast this team despite how poorly they are run. Philly is a great hockey town and deserves a real hockey team. FIRE CHUCK!

On another note I see that the season opener will NOT be broadcast locally unless you have ESPN+/Hulu. WTF!

Interesting interview with Torts today on the NHL channel. He seemed to want to talk more about off ice issues like problems in “the room”, the medical staff and the way “things are done” by the organization. He says all these issues must be resolved first before any progress could happen on the ice. It was a bit surprising actually.
