This might be most sports cities with the big four of Baseball, Basketball, Football and Hockey. Here in Detroit, no matter how poop the lions and how many championships the Red Wings bring in, Football rains Supreme.

Another problem with Fletcher and his cap management, so many teams were in disarray this offseason trying to free up cap space. The Flyers are at the bottom of the league, if they were in a better spot cap wise, he could've been able to grab some of these guys (Bjorkstrand, Mrazek, Monahan etc) with picks. Hell, if he didn't sign TDA and Nic Deslauriers he could've taken on Monahan's cap and a first round pick. The lack of creativitiy kills me.

Yeah I agree football is supreme. For sure. I remember one game I get in car after game turn the wip on. No postgame. Turn the fan on. No postgame. I’m like wtf. I literally went slowly through every radio station on the dial. Not even postgame. Like how is that. When I go to games in other cities I always research their sports stations for radio. Pregame postgame in particular. Idk maybe I just missed it that day.

People. Stop paying for all these streaming services. Go on YouTube and simply search how to jailbreak firestick. All it is is adding a few apps to firestick and you get all the poop for free. Use a vpn which can use free ones or subscribe to one for a few bucks a month and you can tell those trying to track you to piss off. Highly recommend. It literally takes even the non tech savvy maybe 30 minutes at most. There’s tons of videos step by step how to. And then you can laugh at nhl and espn+ pay streaming games my ass.

It's that and if we look at the other side of the spectrum. If we accept for conversation purposes that they are going to be an aggressive team that spends to the cap to try and win now. With all the cap and player assets they spent. Did they acquire a single high level elite player? Ellis comes the closest but he came with obvious injury issues that made that a suspect move. They spent all those assets to be mediocre. So whatever side of the fence you come out on in terms of how you want to see the team operate. It is nothing but dysfunction and incompetence.

I live in the West Chester area and can get flyers games. My buddy in Lancaster had to switch to Youtube TV from Hulu. So there is a cut off line somewhere.

Then you should have specified. Flyers are the forgotten red headed step child on Sports Radio in Philadelphia, they blame fans for not calling in.

Agreed, I loved being able to watch all the different teams on ESPN+ last season especially the playoffs.

I get that people are upset they can't watch the game on regular TV but being on ESPN+ allows more hockey fans to see the game. Enable for the sport to grow in needs a wider audience.

I liked the idea of ESPN+ until I found out they didn't even carry every NHL game last season. Games broadcast on TNT, TBS, NHL Network, ESPN, or ESPN2 are subject to blackout. That's in addition to the local market blackout. It's just kinda... meh. NHL.tv was better.

In don't think jumping through hoops on availability is a strong strategy to grow hockey. Hoops are for basketball.

The sad thing is that some "alternative" sources offer easier, higher quality viewing experiences than the official ones. Some keep these sources on hand even when they have a legitimate subscription, they're so much better.

The way they get out of position, game after game, tells me they don't trust that the other guy is going to be where he needs to be. The irony is that they then get themselves out of position and that is why no one trusts them. It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

Torts needs to drill this into them. Worry about YOUR job on the ice.

Hulu Live includes NBC Sports Philly if you are in that viewing area. The channel lineup is based on your location. Hulu Live is the cable equivalent streaming service that Hulu offers. Standard Hulu does not include Hulu Live.

Not sure why any hockey fan would call into those shows. None of the hosts know anything about hockey. I am fine that they do not know anything. But please stop saying the fans are not calling in because they are not interested in hockey. They don't call because the hockey talk is toddler level stuff.

There are more than enough hockey fans in the Philly area. There are many podcasts that are supported by them. Philly sports talk radio is dying and has been for years.
