Can't blame the players for believing in themselves.

I think the forward group will do much better than last year.

The defense will make sure we're in the lottery again this year though.

a lot of other teams have improved also....Habs should be ahead of Chicago and Phx....that's about it.

You know me, I'm an optimist.

I think they'll do better than that, but will still finish in the bottom tier of the league.

I think they realize what type of team they are, I suspect they are trying to create a culture of hard work on every shift.... not have another year of half-ass effort on most shifts by most players on most nights.

Winning starts with effort every time you step on the ice.

Lots of kids, no need for bad habits to start up.

Also, every team plays to win, regardless of talent level, so I would expect nothing less to be said.

Well there's always a surprise team underachieving (just like there's the surprise overachiever).

But if I had to guess today:

Chicago, Flyers, Seattle, Arizona, San Jose are all teams the Habs might pass in the standings.

Mayyyybe add Detroit to that list? I don't know.

Yotes, Hawks, Sharks, Kraken, Flyers, and Habs... Ducks are not that far ahead, either.

I think those will be teams fighting for bottom spot.

Seems we are mostly in agreement.

I think the Ducks will do better though, too many young interesting players for them not to.

That McTavish kid should help from day one.

Torts will cost you a good pick this year...then things will collapse in year 2 and 3

Red Wings and Sens will be a lot better, but not playoff better. Devils will be better. Heck, even the Sabres.

But yeah, I think the Habs will probably be in a dog fight with the teams you mentioned.

hate that guy.

i don't root for picks. the chips will fall wherever. i've been watching these teams for too long to let them get me down anymore. i didn't watch the eagles last year and i'll probably watch way less flyers games this year than last year.

pas vraiment comme ça qu'une reconstruction fonctionne non plus

mais je comprends les joueurs de ne pas vouloir vivre le calvaire deux années de suite

We're not in the 90's anymore where we would trade captains after captains every 2 years.

Suzuki will be captain for a while. It's a good choice.
