Continuation of my discussion with Don.

My ex from the Island back in the 90's went through quite the drama that tore her family apart. When she was around 14 a pair of her friends accused her father of drugging and molesting them. Once the rumor got around to the parents, the police got involved. During the trial, the defense put the pressure on and one of the girls broke down crying and admitted the other friend talked her into making up the story. There were no sexual assaults... no drugs... nothing. Even after he was cleared, there were still people like Don who wouldn't stop the accusations. Why would they do this if he was innocent?

In Toronto in the 80's I watched a van load of guys who drove from Hamilton to Younge and Isabella, jump out with bats and (frank) a kid up real bad. They were around 10 years older than him. It was all over a girls accusation of him raping her. Problem with the story is he was in Montreal when she was in Toronto for the week partying that time round. I know this for a fact like everyone else downtown. She obviously didnt. The rumor was out before they showed up and we all dismissed her for a liar. Broken arms, broken legs, cracked cranium... she did this because the kid wasn't popular at all and she used his unpopularity for attention. Maybe the reasons were more mental... who knows really.

Another girl I knew from Toronto was a 15 year old slut who liked to be gang banged. Knew all kinds of people who tagged teamed her 4 or 5 at a time. She left Toronto for Van and told her new BC boyfriend that a group of guys raped her. She named them all... this was to cover for the rumors her BF was going to eventually hear. These friends of mine showed up in BC and her BF beat one of them up over her allegations. He then said tell your other buddies that they are next. Problem is they went downtown and gave him a DR. Martin dental plan instead. Talking with him a month later when he had broken up with her... she got caught screwing a bunch of guys at once by his friends at a squat. He felt like a complete idiot.

So you(Don) ask why a girl would make such false accusations? Well there are many reasons... attention... dislike for a person and wanting to hurt them like they hurt you.... mental issues... covering up what a slut they are perhaps... could be many reasons but it happens a lot. In this case, it seems weird she waited so long and then chose the media instead of the police to make the accusation. So perhaps after seeking attention, she was pressured to make him accountable with the law.

With the things I know and have witnessed, I am not quick to label people guilty on sexual allegations unless I know enough or there was enough evidence in court to prove it. It has nothing to do with respecting the accused. The life I came from, people would try and kill sexual offenders both on the street and in jail. I've been party to some curb stomping over catching a man with a 13 year old even. Lives get ruined, families torn apart. But *sometimes* the victim is the person being accused.

If I had a kids(any age) I wouldn't want him anywhere near them just to be safe not knowing one way or the other. Why would a parent need to be 100% certain of his guilt or innocent to be safe. Being careful doesnt mean you are 100% convinced that he's guilty.

Thats pretty much where I am with Jake. I havent been convinced he's guilty based on the information provided and the Jury's decision. Maybe he is guilty but I'm not going to beat that drum not knowing more than we've been provided with. There are people here that want him to be guilty. That much is clear.

I’m not sure, pretty sure he wouldn’t be very qualified. Not all businesses and professions have the same requirements. There’s certainly worse people in sports and the NHL than Jake IMO, there’s much better too. I wouldn’t want JV back but I can’t say I’m surprised he found work.

There's one poster in here who jumped on LH about comments he made about George Floyd's charges before he was killed by police. He said "innocent until proven guilty". Months later I catch him calling JV a rapist and at that point, he wasn't even charged yet. So much for "innocent until proven guilty". People can be so transparent....

I don't like Jake and I could easily play along with some character narratives about him not caring if they are true or not but I'm a lot more careful with sex crime accusations for reasons stated already.

With GF, it was on film... cop kneeling on his throat for an extended period of time. I felt they were guilty after seeing that. Race crime? Not 100% sure on that. The narrative was white on black even though the group who were charged were mixed race and I know from experience way too often that a bully pos cop will do the same to a white person and will say what ever they feel will aggravate the people they bully. N word when dealing with blacks... f word when dealing with homosexuals, whore when dealing with a woman... little f*ggot when dealing with a white kids... and so on.

As long as they only put focus on white cop vs minority, this poop will go on to no end because the problem as a whole is police brutality, not just race.
