Salo is 24.. so what is the age cut off for "Prospects"? I would have thought it was anyone who hasn't played their rookie year in NHL.. but what do I know.

It's kind of a nebulous term.
I don't know if I'd consider him a "prospect", not because of his age but because he's got three AHL seasons and 16 NHL games under his belt. He's more of a minor leaguer trying to make the big club to me.
Not worth debating over though. He's probably not going to make the NHL team off the bat, unless Lambert thinks he's the best option to play the left side on the 3rd pairing
