You know what a better business move would be in the long run? Actually trying to win. Who knows, you might actually succeed and make tons of money.

A dirty move that would never happen would be to offer sheet Robertson to a contract high enough that Dallas would match, but also cause them significant trouble with signing Hintz next offseason.

I like the player a lot for the record. The Sabres just need to find out if anyone out of Mittelstadt/Cozens/Krebs/Savoie can be a real top-six center before they trade for wingers.

If none of the first three guys can do it this year then there will be a real need to try to address that next year. The Sabres have some really nice winger prospects but outside of Savoie and maybe Kulich (but probably not), there's not a lot of high-end center prospect depth
