You love to see it.

I can’t wait for the front office to spin all time low attendance to be the fans fault.

Let's assume it was originally misdiagnosed because they are the Flyers. When was it correctly diagnosed? Before or after the fans were sold on a rehab plan where they discovered it was a complex core muscle issue and he would be skating by July?

This guy is going to get paid $6.25 mill/yr to do yoga for the next 5 years or less if the Flyers trade him to somewhere he actually wants to play.

I understand he's injured but this sounds like something a doctor won't be the one saying he can play, it'll be him telling the doctor that the pain is gone away or is manageable. Players force trades all the time. He has leverage and never wanted to be in Philly.

- Flyers_01

No team will trade for him if there is even a .001% chance he can play again. They will not want that ca hit.

I do 100%. I hope the bottom falls out so far it will be a total embarrassment for all. As clearly none are embarrassed at this point.

If fans feel like they have to show up to games I want Sell The Team chants every night. Paper bag masks. Upside down Flyers logos. The whole nine.

I already hate that franchise. Even the new teams are pissing on us.
As usual the flyers win meaningless games that only further sets us back.
Damn we were so close to a solid pick. Damn new jersey too!
Damn them all!

- Bob Habib

I don't know that the Flyers didn't get a solid player who may play 2-3 years down the road (hopefully his stay in college isn't as long as O'Brien) for the next coach after Torts but missing the player who was the predraft consensus #1 overall pick who fell to 4th by 1 spot feels like a so close, yet so far moment. Kudos to the Kraken for actually having a plan and following through on it.

Nolan Patrick is also out for the season. There is talk he may retire. I feel bad for that kid.

Biggest forward busts of the past 30-years:

Alexander Daigle (1993 1st-overall, 616GP 327P)
Patrick Stefan (1999 1st-overall, 455GP 188P)
Nail Yakupov (2012 1st-overall, 350GP 136P)
Jonathan Drouin (2013 3rd-overall, 427GP 252P)
Michael Dal Colle (2014 5th-overall, 112GP 21P)
Jesse Puljujarvi (2016 4th-overall, 259GP 98P)
Nolan Patrick (2017 2nd-overall, 222GP 77P)
Kaapo Kakko (2019 2nd-overall, 157GP 58P)

How would you rank them in degree of disappointment? NP has to be pretty high up there, right?

I can show up with a WICKER G.M. in the parking lot.

Then chase Fletch around the building until he tries to escape through a door......

Only to wind up in the belly of the WICKER MAN.

We all wear masks as we observe.

Why not, the Flyers did. Are you saying there isn't another Chuck Fletcher out there?

In Montreal, is Sean Monahan playing this season? What about Slafoksky?
They have Caulfield, Suzuki, Gallagher, Drouin, Dadonov. Throw in the other 2, and that is surely much better than us.

Their D is terrible but ours could be too. On paper, ours is better though.

I wonder why they are projected to finish lower than us.

I think when these generational type players were drafted (Crosby, AO, Malkin, McDavid) it was not yet common knowledge how important it is drafting a stud. Now everyone knows it, and I think you will see a stampede to be the worst. Chicago, Habs, Arizona, and probably Seattle will likely outdo each other trying to be worst.

We are going to have try and keep up. The first step is to delay Couts surgery till mid November or so, to maximize time away.

I was disappointed to see Farabee's name at practice. I thought he would miss the beginning of season.

I agree that despite the slop rosters there will be overachievers & under achievers.

Which is why you DGAF and start resting healthy players.

We don't F*** around with generational talent.

If Chicago starts the year better than expected, I won't be surprised if Kane gets traded early.

Sorry to hear that. You have mentioned your migraines in the past.

Have you tried accupuncture? Also, doctors here will not prescribe Rizatriptan (sp?) beyond a certain # of pills (or maybe it is insurance that will not pay). But in other parts of the world, that is an OTC and you can get it by the shovelful for very cheap (like, say, in India, which is a pharma giant)

- PT21

No triptans? Wtf!! They work for me. I take them at slightest hint of headache/migraine. Works great for me

I have long suffered from Piriformis Syndrome which is similar. Psoas occurs in the same area on the opposite (mainly front) side of the body while piriformis affect the back and sciatica regions.

It can't be helped with surgery and only stretching and strengthening the area can give any relief.

It never goes away completely in my case.

- MBFlyerfan

Yes. This exactly. Truckers and those that sit or are overweight tend to suffer from these conditions too. Here’s the thing tho. Like you said almost always changes to exercise and such usually help to some degree. Maybe not fully but often make condition manageable.

Ellis didn’t have this happen overnight. He seemed to “deal with it” just dandy in Nashville. I mean I get it I wouldn’t deal with for a poopty flyers team either. But I’d think if he was in Nashville or on a decent team he’s playing through it as he has. Certainly more than 4 games a year.

Not sure if surgery is option but if it is most professional sports players would get a surgery eventually.

Hopefully JVR gets traded before the deadline.

Could Atkinson be traded again, he would have 2 years left on his contract?
Could TK get traded as well?
After the expected Salary Cap jump in 2024, Hayes's contract might look good to be traded, there would be2 years left on his contract.

I am hoping the Flyers can ship decent vets out in the next few years so the young kids can come up. It is the only thing I looking forward to.

Watching that happen the way that it did shows how savvy other GMs are and then we look at feltcher and we get to watch him do the complete opposite of what a smart GM does. How does this buffoon even have a job here still?!
The fact that he hasn't been fired leads me to believe that the big wigs are definitely in his ear and suggesting/telling him what to do. If CF becomes the fall guy and talks to the media about how he was forced to make his moves then it'll be the end of the good ol boys....finally!! I can't for the life of me figure out any other reason that he is still allowed to make decisions for this franchise
But yes, again, kudos to the Kraken for having a savvy GM with a plan!
