Boy Jack Campbell absolutely stinks huh |

Will never understand the Campbell signing. His plague year numbers were never going to be repeatable, and him stinking up the second half of last season was concerning.
Before tonight's game, Husso had pretty good numbers and Detroit got him for a third. Probably should've done that. |

Now you understand why Dubas would rather take his chances with Murray/Samsonov than Campbell.
Campbell has more natural ability than either of them but he is a major head case.
There is a reason he has never been a number 1 goalie at age 30.
5 years at $5M is a serious overpay.
The Hyman deal on the other hand was a full value signing. |

Because Murray and Samsonov are doing so much better lmao. They avoided signing Campbell to an overpayment while not addressing their goaltender position, and it'll cost them again. |

We may not have solved the goalie issue but Campbell at 5x5m is still a worse option. |

Samsonov is 6-2 with a 2.23 and .921
Campbell is 6-4 with a 4.27 and .873
Murray is injured as expected and will probably spend most of his tenure on LTIR . I'd rather have 4.6 sitting on LTIR for 2 years then paying Campbell 5 for 5 years. The Oilers have have another Koskinen but for more money and term🤣🤣

Probably right.
Seeing as Connor Hellybuck or Shesterkin were not available they did the best they could.
Still better than Campbell though, the guy is a head case. |

A solid backup that shouldn't be playing the bulk of games? Not bad, granted he shouldn't be making $5 million.
Campbell had a .921 save percentage after 22 games in 2020-21. But yes, Samsonov definitely has a track record of being a goaltender who can post a .920+ save percentage.
His .896 save percentage in 44 games last season was really good! |

Try to trade Yamamoto...he's too small to just be a passenger. If he can't play with grit he might as well go, taking his cap hit with him.
NEVER let Barrie see the ice ever again. It's possible they're worse 5on5 with Barrie than being shorthanded.
I still don't understand why
these players don't work hard in Edmonton. Season after season we have a work ethic problem. Hyman is such a breath of fresh air and so great to watch battle, but we rarely have players like this. They need to get it going, and fairly fast. |

Well that was two really mediocre teams going at it. Skinner more lucky than good.
Panthers really regretting bringing in Maurice. Should have stuck with Brunette. |
