He’s one of several that we can’t get our from under. There’s several layers to the issues and one is probably that he’s slotted incorrectly right now. Despite what he makes, He should be 2c and probably 2pp etc which likely would mean better matchups.
With an entire top 6 forward line out it’s ruined that plan. I don’t think they’d be good enough even with no injuries but it’s insane. What you have to do though is not compound the issue by bringing more contracts in or trading picks for vets. It’s a dumpster fire that can only be fixed by getting rid of the high priced vets for picks but many of these are damaged goods now which we’ll have to pay for another team to take them off our hands. Otherwise, we have to wait out the contracts which will be a while. - Hextall271
There are a lot of players currently that are slotted incorrectly. Which is exactly why you can't completely rid the team of vets. Have to make some choices and keep some of them. The moment this organization abandoned patience and decided to go back to wheeling and dealing to try and win now and become relevant. That it decided they were going to be a cap team. They were doomed. I'd love to ask Dave Scott if he realizes how stupid he has been.

Darche from Tampa is itching for a promotion and GM job. Flyers probably never have talked to any Tampa management people. - furio16
Yea. I’ve heard his name mentioned and He’d be at the top of the list imo. |

Haha you and me both. I’m really starting to wonder what the leash is for chuck. If we get say 15 games without a win and maybe another 10 gamer mixed in in the new year thats got to be it. Injuries Or not he’s sent this org on an epic downhill run to disaster here. |

I have zero doubt that the organizational belief is that injuries have kept this team the last two seasons from being a playoff level team. That they just have to stay the course until they get some players back.

He definitely has made some bad resignings no doubt. Sanheim & Laughton bad but he has tried to move away from the Hextall mess recently only 2 of the 12 forwards dressed were organizational draft picks so he is clearly waiting til his picks develop & mature to be nhl ready - Fopa21 this mess is all on Chuck. Hextall was bad. Chuck is way worse.
Chuck is 100% responsible for this roster.

Ones who haven’t been involved with this team the last 8 years.
They were always a cap team. That hasn’t changed 1 bit.

Yeah. That’s been the refrain for 3 years now.
On a side note. F ovechkin. I used to like him wel enough but since he’s basically said he supports his president despite his war of choice, I have no respect for him. |

Well. Then it’s sold. On that note. Where did taryn hatcher go? I haven’t noticed her on the flyers feeds I get from centre ice. I’ll have to ask dr Google. |

I don't know for a fact what Ovechkin said but there are reasons why someone like him would say that. Even if he feels differently. Not really a subject to get into any further on here.

No idea on your question.
Darche or someone similar. A fresh new look from someone with a modern day feel for the NHL. Now we both now will never happen.
Next time I see Darche will have to grill him a little for some info. |

I’m not getting into it any further I just lost a lot of respect for him after his comments. |

He is still the puppet master of the Flyers. Nothing happens or continues without Bobby Clarke’s approval. |

And for terrible scouting department
Terrible training staff
Terrible coaches
It’s also on Clarke and Dave Scott |

Taryn Hatcher covers the Eagles now. They can’t waste someone who can draw an audience on the Flyers. That would be Chuck Fletcher Dave Scott Bobby Clarke levels of stupid. |

I assume Clarke is asked his opinion on a bunch of macro type issues. He is still one of the senior advisors. I highly doubt he has any say or influence on the personnel or day to day hockey op’s. Clarke never had the patience to stand pat when things started to go south. He sure as hell wouldn’t stand still for this long. Both he and Snider lacked patience to almost a fault. |

I think it’s on chuck. He’s had enough time to right the ship and we’ve gotten especially worse. I’ve lost track of how many extended losing streaks we’ve had but it’s almost funny. |

Laughton is tradeable. I have mixed feelings since I like him but really never has become the middle sixer he seemed so close to becoming. He just can't finish for the life of him, despite his good speed. I think if you get offered a second rounder in a deep draft, you do that deal on a rebuilding team and shed the salary. |

I think think they have a lot of pieces teams would be interested in. Laughton Provy sanheim tk hart tda and jvr as a deadline rental. You’d just have to make sure you get a good return and I have a feeling chuck would get fleeced. |

I know Frost took the blame here but after reviewing the replay several times, I don't think Frost did anything wrong on that play. It was a great pass through Provorov but its not like Frost was not on his guy. I think the problem on the play was DeAngelo did not cover the weak side guy (Kuznetsov) who took a nice feed for an easy tap in.... - jd250
I haven't been watching the games closely through my yawning, but hasn't DeAngelo worked out surprisingly well? |

I’m sure it’s not a popular take but I’ve liked his game for the most part. He’s a fantastic passer a good offensive dman and pp qb limitations in the d zone but overall he’s a definite too 4 dman. |

Clarke never had the patience to cope when he doesn’t get what he wants. He used to want to win, now he wants to be right. |

Why did you stop comparing Girouxs stats to Zach no attacks |

If Fletcher and the old guard were shown the door today, and boy do they deserve it, would this fan base be patient enough to deal with the growing pains? I don’t think so. If I remember correctly, when Hextall was fired, his drafts picks didn’t materialize but this team was not saddled with too many long contracts and I believe they were well under the cap. Now we have both and not in a good way. Knowing draft picks need time to mature, even if they’re smart and good picks, gonna take quite a few years to get out from under the avalanche of bad deals with bad players. It will seem that the new regime is just treading water for most of that time. I’m sure, just as in the past, most will be screaming for “Go time” with the new picks. To me this season is “ Go Time” for the management to get a head start while some of our division foes are showing their age. Meanwhile they’re digging themselves deeper.
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving fellas. |
