Nice write up Jan. You didn't really address the performance of Harpur though. This was a really nice debut game for him. Unexpectedly dropped into his first game at MSG wearing blue against one of the hottest teams in the NHL. I thought he did exceptionally well, given the circumstances. He didn't really look out of place ( for a 3rd pairing defender ) and he meshed well with Schneider...

Point taken, thanks. Agreed, nothing stood out, which was a good thing.

You're not wrong though. Harpur was on for 1 scoring chance for and 13(!) against. V bad.

Othmann looks like he’ll be playing on a line with Shane Wright and Connor Bedard for team Canada

That's an organizational issue. Happens all the time. Doesn't matter where the kid is from.

He could be like a free deadline acquisition if he plays well enough to join the team after his season is over

Might burn a year off his ELC if you do that though.

If theyre serious about contending and are in a good spot at that time, and he’s ready, you play him. End of story. That’s a lot of ifs though

Gallant said he'd like to get Kravtsov "some shifts up with the top line on the right side," adding, "We know where he fits."

He dropped a couple hints that the eventual plan is to move him up - "I know what our perfect lines are" - but he's not ready to make that move yet.

This guy. Gallant's brain "Kravtsov probably works better on Line 1, but you know what? (frank) it, I'm gonna put Goodrow there again."

He knows what the perfect lines are but doesn’t want to use them. Does he realize he is the head coach?
