How about the last 20 games
- ClaudeFather

Clayton Keller plays with scrubs every night, and yet every time he is on the ice Keller is far and away the best Arizona player on the ice. Everyone can see it, its blatantly obvious. I guess for Keller it doesn't matter, but for Frost it does!?!

Correct me if I wrong, but aren't there 32 teams in this league and thus 32 2nd lines, and thus 96 2nd line forwards in the NHL? If so how does #157 make Farabee a solid 2nd line player?
- jd250

There are 96 first line players ahead of them.

Playing these numbers out over 82 games yields just under 40 points. This is what you consider to be a 2nd line player in this league? Here are some comparisons of 2nd line player projections from some of the the top teams in the league:

Taylor Hall: 71 points
Braydon Point: 82 points
John Tavares: 75 points
Brock Nelson: 82 points
Jonathan Marchessault: 63 points

See a trend here?

- jd250

Yeah, but all of these guys are first line players on the majority of teams in this league.

I’m glad to hear your commentary on hart. I read a lot from fans who think he’s terrible and a main reason for our struggles. I don’t see it. I think he’s the real deal.

You forgot to add "you idiot."

Of course, I am not an idiot. You're either being obtuse or nit-picky.

You have two players with practically the same build and skill-set that slot similarly in your lineup Say you need a more physical player who is a good net-front guy on the powerplay. Do you not potentially evaluate trading one of those two guys to get that player?

While a lot needs to break right for the team to be in such a position to make such a trade in three to four seasons, the franchise itself has three examples of going from being in the wilderness to being a potential cup contender in such a time frame.

It is not all that ridiculous, just challenging with a 32 team league.

- GeorgeBailey

Why would I call you or anyone that. You need a minimum of 3 scoring lines to be a top team in this league. That's 6 winger slots. Surely the Flyers don't have a surplus of talented players. Trading a player in a hockey trade to improve the team is not the same thing as maybe not needing a player.

It wouldn't matter with Connor McDavid either.

Do you believe that Brayden Point is a 2nd line player?

I definitely see a trend.

I guess he considers Mitch Marner a 2nd line player as well.

Oh dear god. So they’re playing on the second line on a deep team, so you believe them to be second line players? Is this what I’m reading? You forgot Mr. Career Second Liner Malkin.

I predict Philly wins the draft lottery and Bedard refuses to play there. Terrible team, worse GM, terrible fans, no future there.

There is no duck and cover. You want to apply a standard to me that you won't meet yourself. I don't know at what point specifically that the lines were changed, and Frost was moved up. I do know that Frost was not deployed properly for a good part of the season. The onus is on you to provide the facts if you want to discuss it.

Provide the deployment of line mates for the “good part of the season”. The onus is on you if you’d like to discuss it

Frost has not played well. He’s going to have a brief nhl career if he can’t pick it up. For how much fancy skate and stick work he possesses, way too many of his passes don’t make it through. He rarely serves it up on a plate for anyone. It’s not a case of line mates blowing chances.

Tippet has taken a big step forward in his play this year and looks like he can belong on a playoff caliber scoring line.

I loved Allison in college but didn’t realize just how poor of a skater he is. He makes hartnell look nimble.

Hasn’t he always been on the PP this year? 12 points. Disappointing

None of this is true. In fact, it’s clear you haven’t been on these boards for a long period of time because the majority of us feel the exact opposite of what you just stated.

This is completely inaccurate and is not in sync with quality sources on Frost's level of play such as Bill Meltzer.

When are the Pens moving to KC? You wanna talk about fans? How bout when the Pens sucked and super Mario had to come in and buy your bunch of sad sacks to keep them from moving. Same thing will happen in a few years when they suck again.

He’s played with some combination of Tippett JVR Bellows Macewen Farabee , which has a pretty good mix of skill guys for what this roster currently has . That’s certainly an upgrade over the beginning of the season
