You have to love TK, he is really fun to watch and is rapidly becoming the leader of this team.

TK for captain! I watched Tort's presser last night and it's starting to sound as if Torts thinks TK is captain material. He handled his benching like a professional! Hayes? Notsamuch...

He’s really made Hayes look like an idiot. His own fault

Any of you play ECHL on NHL23?

Are any of you on discord and actually have to talk to these people (kids) who actually talk like they’re in a dressing room, on real ice and approaching this video game as if it’s real life hockey.

Have always liked him - this year he's tempered his chippiness a bit and brought the rest of his game up a lot and the results are fantastic.

Really enjoying York's play. Don't think it will be much longer until he is a consistent 20+ minute Dman

Really good decision to start him in the AHL and let his confidence and game get back together. Frost and Tippett both getting the most consistent ice time in the top 9 they’ve ever received. TK showing some serious maturity with how he’s handled this season. Some development going on here.

Do you think it's Torts who has helped him reach this next level?

I think Torts has

I've been harping on this awhile. The offense has been in the basement. They are now up to 28th. Still terrible, but the young guys are lifting the offense. Hopefully, it continues. I'm pro tank, but if a Frost, Tippett and York can grab a top 6 and top 4 role on a good team-great news. Let's see if this momentum can continue over the next month.

He's been playing this way since Claude was traded. Classic case of stepping up. It's all TK.

Really wish Hayes would have reacted more like TK to being benched. Take some responsibility and try to improve. His "I don't know why I was benched" routine is annoying. I'd rather he was pissed off than this placid victim routine. I really think Torts is just trying to see if the guy has a pulse.

Unfortunately that game has been a cash grab since 2015. But yeah some of those online leagues house some of the biggest tryhards.

Tortorella made that point in the post game comments.

Yes, I think Tortorella has been a major contributor to this growth. Of course TK is also responsible because he's been receptive of the coaching.

Tough to say since none of us are on the team. Could be a little of column A and little of column B.
But probably mostly A(TK). His play this year really shouldn't surprise anyone.

Let's see them do it against teams other than Az and Columbus... two teams that are actually worse than us

TK-

sometimes a coach just needs to affirm a player and give them the right opportunity and same for York, keep giving him reps.

As far as Braun, he really is slowing, he works hard, gets there but its just arms and legs everywhere when he gets there, best case he chips it up or out. I would rather have Seeler or really another young kid, assume that will happen soon.

Totally agree...its all TK....he has shown this level of passion in the past but lost it these last couple yrs. Think he is thriving on the additional responsibility so guess Torts gets credit there

Yup, this level has to be sustained. I want see what the next 20 games brings. Hayes looked pretty disinterested last night. My point is his near point per game pace is probably done. This will put the spotlight even more on the under 25 crowd.

Tippett has also looked good IMO, especially escaping that CBJ player near the blue line for his give-and-go goal.

Now we just need Farabee to get back on track and we may have something
